This mode is mean af. I spend ages following a bear until it was close to shelter. Killed it with my last 2 shots only to have 2 wolves to turn up and nick half the meat.

Stalker is my favorite difficulity for just enjoying the game. Not too hard not too easy.

For me stalker is too hard and voyager is too easy because there is food everywhere on voyager and I've already got 71 matches on day 1. I'm a noob tho; I think I need to learn the game on voyager, especially the map, before I play stalker. I tried jumping in the deep end, main base was in the pleasant valley farmhouse cos I did a bit in Milton and got bored, I went north east to hunt and ended up trapped in a shed for 5 days being hit by storm after storm desperately trying to manage starvation, hypothermia and hypothermia induced fatigue. so I had snares set up, I shot a wolf and left it frozen as a message to his pals (dunno if it does anything but it seemed to work for a bit) then got attacked by a wolf as I had to go further for wood runs and it took just enough health for me to die of hypothermia on my slow walk back to the shed. Controller got hossed across my lounge

I have quite a few hrs in Voyager just started my first stalker run still only seen about 15 - 20% of the map. I love this game. I want to find some moose to make a satchel

Ugh. A moose spawn in the birch forest at pv keeps getting vacated by a nearby bear den and endless wolves. I didn't even find a rifle until day 90.

Playing on Stalker right now. Almost day 100. Im almost full in fur and doing pretty well so far. The only thing i couldnt get me to is looting all areas before day 100. I was to fucking scared running into a not well known location or a wolf pack and run out on ..well..anything that kills you if you dont have it. I realy like your videos and your channel in general. Since the survival Update i have more ambition than ever playing a long term survival safe. Never made it to 500...but this time i will. Will keep up using your vids for help that for. Really love the aesthetic and feel of your vids on TLD. After finishing Eps 1 & 2 on Story on normal I figured I would do alright in stalker, starting off at Hushed River Valley... But my oh my, the cold got me way too easy, I froze to death just after 24 hours trying to desperately gather wood XD :( I Should be fine for Voyageur to practice on until I'm better.

@@Lonelywolfofficial Ahaha, yes. Finding survival boring and tedious for me now. However, I am absolutely loving Episode 3, I'm a bit more of story guy so I love the balance of that and gameplay.

@@ImperialDiecast don’t mean to be rude, but I’m very tired of people who ask (Hinterland the game studio) and complain about episode 4: just let it come out when it comes out. For me I can absolutely wait, I have plenty of other games to play, other hobbies, people, work, chores... It’s not like they’ve said it isn’t coming out. Just find some other games or I’ll recommend some if you tell me what games you already like and haven’t played

Thinner loot density? Tell that to the 98% rifle and expedition parka I found within the first 3 days. I'm still being bullied by wolves.

Compared to Voyager and Pilgrim, its vastly reduced loot density. That doesn't mean you can't find good items, it just means there's not as many of them and the odds of getting them are slimmer.

My advice, know how to kill wolves, know the maps. Make some fur clothing items to supplement your gear and make a FM forge run to make some arrows. Then head to TM and make a summit run... After that, take your time, and learn to really hunt good. Work on your skills and max them out and just don't do anything stupid. I can't tell you how many times I've died in some stupid way. Still trying to get to 500 days on stalker. This game is tough and this game is FUN!!!

The pre-existing ravaged deer carcasses, no. But on occasion, it is possible for wolves to find a kill of yours and make off with some of the meat.

Great advice, and the video itself taught me how to pick them off one at a time. I always shot them from behind and they ran off with my arrows. Are one shot kills guaranteed if you hit them in the head?
