We've used this tent for 7 months during 32000km 2up on a f800GS. Not a single night we've put the bike inside but we appreciated much the big 'living space' high enough to stand up and shower. Alone on a bike trip I would not take it, only with 2 persons on longer trips it's perfect.

IDK the setup looked pretty simple and straightforward to me, Of course there's also nothing saying you can't just toss a Bivy sack into one of your saddle bags, though at the same time I'd have to ask are you truly riding that hard? Or are yah just being lazy? I can break down an easy up cube tent In About 15 minutes and I'm not particularly hustling. This looks Pretty darn simple to me.
@louiewatson93892 жыл бұрын
@@TanoNasso I use either a hammock and tarp or my litefighter 1 person tent. The hammock and tarp is nice because I can also pull the bike under the tarp to keep it dry. All fits in a small saddlebag. Can use a closed cell foam sleeping pad and bivy bag along with a tarp for shelter. A tarp is really valuable because it keeps you and your bike dry and provides shade. Even with a tent it allows you to leave your doors open and have a porch and added rain protection. Can sit outside your tent in the rain.

Blown away at how incredible this tent is. I'm using it right now to shelter bikes and have a separate gear room at my kids' 5 day motocross race. The 3 way doors with no awning or just playing the door on the roof is just awesome. Well done 👏

This is a great tent when conditions are good, but it has a few flaws and is not very good in Certain conditions. It does not feel safe when the wind is strong because there are not enough guide lines, it is too airy for colder conditions, and it is like a hurricane inside the tent if the wind is strong. And if the ground is not perfect it can be very tricky to set up, partly because of poorly designed peg loops. I love the tent when conditions are right but riding around places like Scandinavia where you often have a lot of wind or it can be hard to find perfect ground it can be very frustrating.

Great looking tent though I’m not sure how it would fair in horizontal rain during the summer months up in the north of Scotland as it can be more than just a bit breezy. I’ve got a tent by Khyam that is similar but isn’t as tall and I have to stoop which isn’t good for my knackered lower back. The Lone Rider tent is good for when you have to spend time sitting sheltering out of the elements as it won’t feel claustrophobic.

My 8x10 brown tarp, twine and four wire pegs takes up 1/3 the space of your dome tent, takes under two minutes to erect ....and it is fully waterproof for years.... Walmart tents tend to leak over time. New ones i hear leak immediately. Oh and it only takes a minute to roll and pack, forming it's own case. I have a dome tent too. They are a bear to get back in the bag with all the fiddly bits. I guess it depends on what you want. He can stand up in the rain, has two vestibules, integrated rain fly, and many screen windows.

Also, would be great to get rid of the pole sleeves and go with a clip-on system.
