This reminds me of some of the verses of In the Pines. Not just the Leadbelly version, but some of the other versions with alternating lyrics referring to trains.

he said this is the oldest known folk song.. he is a scholar, sir... RR Bill came from this piece of music.. see Elizabeth Cotton for a few other oldies... it's our history... a people who forget their history are doomed to repeat it
