Great vids, part 1 and 2, Jeremy. A nice basic kit for an overnighter. Approx how may pounds would that be? Still can't believe the ground sheet and wool blanket would be enough protection from the cold ground, but you seem to make it work.

@@Lonewolfwildcamping Ok. Need to test that out someday. I normally just put the coffee grounds in the pot, stir and wait few minutes. The grounds will settle to the bottom and coffee is clear, but I don't really enjoy the cleaning part. If it's raining buckets out can you use the same (plowpoint) just lower to the ground to stay dry throughout the storm or would you change and use a different type of tarp figuration God Bless you what was the animal at the end of video
@Lonewolfwildcamping

Excellent question, I actually would leave it high, the problem is when you lower the height you lose the roof pitch. The slope is needed to shed rain.

Really like both nights, is nice to take it back to basics sometimes. I think people today often forget that humans have been around a long time before lightweight synthetic fibers and titanium, etc. As a coffee nerd, I'm curious how good of an extraction you got out of your homemade pourover? I was watching it wondering if you were going to somehow produce some ice cream to put in the birch cone :). I loved the part at the end where you have the bag packed and the loon(s) started up off in the fog. That was one of those moments that I just love in the woods and a big reason why I keep going out!
