Long a ( ai, ay, a-e, a, ea, ey, ei, eigh) words | English Phonics Course | Lesson 25/45

In this video, we will study the long a sound made by several vowel combinations. Usually, when two vowels are paired together, also known as the "vowel teams", e.g. ai, ay, or -a-consonant-e, the sound of the first vowel is dominant, saying its own name.
Sometimes, “Vowel a” on its own, or usually, in combinations such as “ei”, “ey”, “eigh” and “ea” make the long a sound.
