@@tkilla1202 Nearly all the patients we spoke to at this clinic had a 'normal' COVID-19 infection first and then developed long COVID. Your definition likely refers to vaccine injury, which is complicated to discuss in a comments section because vaccine injury isn't the same as long COVID. (There can be overlap.) One guy we spoke to at the clinic, but who declined an interview, said he believed he developed long COVID as a result of vaccination. That is rare but can happen. The more common route toward developing long COVID is through infection (or multiple infections). - Conor

Nattokinase (2000FU), Bromelain (500mg), Curcumin (500mg). Cleaning the blood of the damage debris is great, but that will not stop the damage if the body continues to produce the spike protein, or if the spike protein is continuously injected into the body. The three substances listed in this comment assist the body in breaking down the spike protein, as well as other damaged proteins, and to reduce inflammation, which leads to the build-up that Apheresis attempts to clean. Intermittent fasting will also help in breaking down damaged protein.

There’s a BMJ paper been done on the patients of this clinic. Out of hundreds of patients they contacted, only 6 said they felt better after the treatments however their symptoms returned within 4-8weeks later. None claim they were ‘cured’. Not only that, many had significant debt from having these treatments. With the average treatment regime being ~€15-18k. It’s a snakeoil treatment plan.

Thanks for the comment, and sorry to see in another post of yours that you're not doing so well at the moment. I hope that changes. After doing this report my personal take on the Mulheim clinic - and I would emphasize this is how I see it as an American who's used to high health care costs - is that this clinic was not attempting to maximally profit off patients. That's not the same as endorsing the therapy, because as the report makes clear it's experimental and has no published, peer-reviewed data to back it. But if you're asking whether this clinic is taking advantage of desperate long COVID patients... I didn't view it that way. Charging 2k euros for multiple 4-hour apheresis sessions at a clinic with a half-dozen or so beds... and with a waiting list in the thousands... plus blood scans.... that struck me as an attempt to cover costs and pay staff. But you're right to be wary of anyone selling a long COVID cure. That doesn't exist, and the hope is that one (or more) of the ongoing international clinical trials will result in measurable improvements for patients - and that governments will fund more long COVID research. - Conor

Hi Rene, a number of studies (see below) have concluded COVID-19 vaccines reduce the risk of long COVID. Here are three from 2023 with conclusions in quotes. - Conor VACCINE www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9905096/pdf/main.pdf "COVID-19 vaccination before SARS-CoV-2 infection was associated with a lower risk of long COVID, while most of those with ongoing long COVID did not experience symptomatic changes following vaccination." NATURE COMMUNICATIONS www.nature.com/articles/s41467-023-38388-7 "We found that vaccination was consistently associated with lower odds and rates of long COVID clinical diagnosis and high-confidence computationally derived diagnosis after adjusting for sex, demographics, and medical history." PLOS GLOBAL PUBLIC HEALTH journals.plos.org/globalpublichealth/article?id=10.1371/journal.pgph.0001917 "... [W]e estimate that vaccines against COVID-19 decrease the prevalence of long COVID among U.S. adults by 20.9% (95% CI: -32.0%, -9.9%) and, from the analysis of 158 countries, by -15.7% (95% CI: -18.0%, -13.4%) among all who had COVID-19."

Well, I keep watching and so far not a single hard number around how many see sustainable improvement. This, like so many other treatments, is just medical providers throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. And making some money in the process. There is currently no treatment that has measurable and sustainable benefit. If they can not say simply how many people are recovering then they are just selling snake oil. This sort of thing helps anyone feel good for a week or two. It is not helping folks like me who are sick for so long. It is a waste of money and even cruel that they offer something they can not demonstrate works.

@@macfamilyoflove Per my comment. If there is not a solid number of people actually showing measured and sustainable improvement only a fool would pay money for something like this. Selling false hope is unethical and should be illegal. Do research. Present facts. And then sell your product.

@@reasonmattersmost i hope you never find yourself desperate enough to try something as ’foolish’ as going with your gut instinct as there is no clinical research & your life/health hangs in the balance……..you’re too quick to judge or maybe a little ’liverish’

I am disabled and can barely move. I have tried everything. It is why I judge these sort of snake oil money makers harshly. You do you though. For me it is a waste of money and also just plain mean and dangerous to sell things that do not help.

What do you mean? - Conor
@PerryScanlon6 ай бұрын
@@dw_podcaststhat dark blood is from a vein, not an artery. And any changes to O2 or pH are temporary unless the patient is permanently connected to that machine. So if their O2 is a bit low and CO2 a bit high (if the kidneys haven't compensated enough) then the person will feel better but after being disconnected it will return to the same.
