A 2.5 hr 400nm flight in a Cirrus SR22 or SR22T is routine. It's considered a short hop given the plane can easily do an all day cross country over mountain, plain and thru ice.

Hey Pat, Nice VID. Only thing you both in the front seat are not wearing your seat belts ideally. Pull seatbelt harness down all the way until the buckle lays across your lap then firmly pull the straps to hold the buckle at your lap. That lower part of the seatbelt is designed to keep you in your seat during turbulence whereas the shoulder straps are to prevent you from going forward. When you wear the buckle that high you are losing the seat protection even though you still will be restrained from going forward. Hit some wild turbulence and you’ll learn that lesson quickly as I did when my head mashed on the roof on some strong moderate turbulence.

You are absolutely right. My instructor used to get on me for that too! I need to be more aware of that going forward, especially in IMC! Thanks.
