Sorry for saying so much my main point is this guy in these videos is an angel compared to the two hacks that I have been exposed to i wish he was around here but I guess this area just doesn't have any quality podiatrist I am going to try a podiatrist in my home town and he is not affiliated with these fools around here and he has 5 stars and so does his staff so wish me luck please

One problem is that men will have one pair of work shoes and wear them every day. The shoes never get a chance to dry, so naturally athlete's foot occurs. I was married to a FedEx delivery man. He wore the same shoes all week. I suggested he have 2 pairs and alternate.

Why is it that none of your patients seem to have ever heard of lotion before? Or even just washing/scrubbing their own feet? My mom had her spine fused and is unable to bend over or reach her feet. So she uses a long handled brush to clean them in the shower. She also uses a long tool-thing to put lotion on herself. It's not rocket science.

I've noticed many of them are diabetic or have jobs that require heavier footwear like steel toe boots. It's possible they would need an exfoliation then regular care. Truck drivers may be in shoes for 16 hours a day. Moisture is going to build up.

I've watched lots of Dr Js videos. I don’t think I've ever seen so many pairs of dry skinned feet. I'm single, no family and have back, hip, knee and ankle problems. I have flat feet and spend much of my day in safety footwear. I still manage to do my feet with a battery powered pedi roller once a week to take down hard skin, moisturise my feet daily, and buy a pair of insoles for my shoes. I get that the elderly and vulnerable just may not be able to care for their own feet. But some of the patients don’t even seem to try.

Long-time subscriber here - Just curious as to why it seems that podiatrists in the US use a relatively small blade to do this kind of work when it appears that in at least some Asian spas use a much wider blade (at least based on YT videos … lol). Thanks!

Hi Dr. Jefferson, I wish I could find a doctor like you in my area. In any case, what type of a scalpel do you suggest for home use for thick, calluses, etc. that’s not too dangerous. I’ve tried the ones with the blade inside but those are not really helpful and I would like to use a type of blade that you use.

All of the scraping does it clean it up, makes it smoother, do you have to do it every so often? is it a fungus? have you ever seen this kind of dryness on someone's legs?

Dayuuuum poor guy I have severe problems with my feet and the first podiatrist I ever saw sent me to this other one cause I had a water blister on the outside of the foot near the Pinky toe and the second podiatrist I saw said I needed a debreement and he cut my foot right wide open and left it open didn't bother stitching it closed and I am diabetic so it took way over a year to get it to heal up and I ended up with a infection in the bone and a piece of the bone started to stick out the side of my foot and the first podiatrist wouldn't back me up about seeing a lawyer and denied that she sent me to the second one and then i had to go back to the second one cause the first one refused to do anything to help methen just recently i went back to the first one for the third time and she denied that this visit was the 3rd time I saw her thank god i was smart enough to bring a witness with me everytime so the first podiatrist finally admitted that was the one who sent me to the second one after denying it on the second visit but on this visit which was the 3rd visit she tried and tried to tell me this was only the second time she saw me and was very abusive verbally tried to make out that i was crazy and she even said its ok you remember it anyway you want to cause in the grand sceam of things it really doesnt matter much! I left her office in tears and couldn't barely breathe and the witness that I had taken with me to the first two visits with her and all the visits with the second podiatrist was my Case worker who happens to keep fantastic notes about everything and on that third visit I took my peer support person with me so I am covered and he even said that she was out of line on how she spoke to me so now I am and have been in danger of losing my leg cause of the second podiatrist so if I do I am gonna own both of their license's
