Great video. Truly underrated. Looks like you flew over Moab, UT and Canyon Lands. Beautiful area to be, especially in an EZ.

My Mom used to fly a Cessna and my tummy really didn't do well in it. She flew me to the Grand Canyon from San Diego once when I was 5 months pregnant & I thought I might deliver that baby in a whole new way :( Needless to say I never flew in a small plane again so I LOVE getting to experience the views thru your videography. Thank you for doing this & sharing it with the world! I really appreciate it!!! :)

How I miss my LongEZ! I built it while working at Scaled Composites ("home base"). But before I got to a hundred hours I was diagnosed with diabetes requiring insulin. The rigorous in-flight hourly (!) blood draw and analysis proved to be impractical in the confines of my otherwise comfy EZ. But I really enjoyed being a wingman on Ray's trip. Thanks!

Chris Weiser I'm glad you enjoy my videos. So sorry that you couldn't continue flying that Long-EZ. Stay tuned. I should have some more videos with my new paint-job.🙂

I do like the music. I am just a passionate and frustrated non builder approaching retirement, and still waiting to fly one. All the very best.

Hi Lizzie, Glad you enjoy the videos. I now put the video camera on the plane somewhere every time I fly. I'll probably make a composite video of many of my flights all over the west soon. Ray

I hesitate to use the word, but awesome. What terrain! The music was fine. Much better than engine noise. Looked up the route on Google. A yellow paint job is appropriate when flying over a landscape like that. You want to be seen if something snaps. Was waiting for the landing, but maybe it would spoil the mood of the video.

After departing the Grand Junction area, I climbed to 10,500 ft msl, and l descended to Lake Powel at about 4300 ft msl. The lake is at about 4,000 ft msl. At cruiset I was at about 160kts. When over the lake - 150 kts. The video was speeded up X3 over the lake to shorten the length of the video. The original max gross weight was 650kg, but I placed a bigger engine and other modifications, and increased to 800kg. Glad you like it!

Glad you like the video. Sorry you didn't like the music. At least it isn't some raucous loud music. Just turn the volume down.

Ray, I'll take your nice soothing music over 14 minutes of propeller noise any day. Great video.

Great video and beautiful plane! I am building a Cozy MK-IV myself. A question regarding the colour of the airframe: Have you experienced any problems with heating of the surfaces? I guess you have read the various discussions regarding this subject. I was also thinking of a yellow bird myself.
