In 1996 homeless Aboriginal people from Arnhem Land residing in Darwin, Northern Territory, were evicted from their camp at Lee Point and moved to Fish Camp, on the 301 hectare Kulaluk lease in Ludmilla where there was no water or any other facilities. In December 1996 some of the campers returned to Lee Point and were issued with trespass notices. One of the campers, Bob Bunduwabi (Gojok) then made a complaint to the NT Anti-Discrimination Commission, claiming that he had a traditional right to camp. Gojok died in the following January while his complaint was being considered. Some months after Gojok's death the campers returned to Lee Point. During the occupation, supporters established a protest camp in the nearby park in solidarity with homeless Aboriginal people in Darwin. (see videos Bob Bunduwabi the Black Martyr Parts 1-3).

Do they really have their homelands? If so, I'm puzzled. Why aren't they there?

Because they're usually dry communities. That means no alcohol allowed.

These People as you label them are the First Australians and they know what they are doing. Its because they will not bend to YOUR culture that they are considered wrong.. Leave them alone and live your own life.

The bold faced arrogance of the Minsiter....change it around to have the Aboriginal people say the same words and it would be more accurate.
