I have normal to dry skin and EL double wear has been one of my holy grails since I was a freshman in HS. And shock and horror, I used my makeup sponge dry even then. And MUCH preferred the results. I think it all boils down to preference. And if you do have dry skin, if you mix double wear with an illuminating primer or moisturizer (like mac strobe cream) the finish is beautiful.

Hummm... Maybe I really should try the Estee Lauder Double Wear. I just stayed with the Luminous silk, but as I´m also on the oily side, I have to cover it up through out the day. Your look is lovely-and that headpiece!!! I always remark that your face changes so much after you did contouring-doing a great job. :)

actually I use Estee Lauder double wear foundation too and my skin is so clean!! I tryed smasbox, MAC, Chanel and Clinique and they caused me pimples and dermatitis :( now I love Estee Lauder products

I know some of you will probably think I am crazy but sometimes I wish I had oily skin. I have the driest skin ever and my makeup always looks flakey and cakey, it's so annoying.

+Molly Mae Beauty Girl, yes! You're not crazy at all. Would MUCH prefer to have oily skin! Not only do I feel like foundation options are more vast, I think you age more gracefully with oily skin. Dryness emphasizes fine lines big time.

Agree. I used to have oily skin when I was a teenager. Now I'm 27. During the past few years my skin just gradually turned dry. Now I'm normal/dry. Sometimes my foundation clings to my dry patches. As crazy as it sounds. I miss my oily skin.

I wish I was oily so bad. I wake up to flaky skin, so bad that I can peel it around my chin. One day I'll be able to wear makeup without using a crap tonne of moisturiser and soak myself in fix+ 😂

+Ashemmaholt I go through periods of extreme dehydration and will get horrible dry flaky patches in certain areas. I have come across a few products that have completely solved that problem. Go to sephora, and pick up some samples of Origins Drink-Up Intensive overnight mask, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, and either NUDE skincare Progenius rescue oil, or Fresh Seaberry oil. I'm telling you, these products work. Try them out and see what works best for you. Also, make sure your daily cleanser isn't adding to the dry skin problem. Many cleansers can actually create dry skin for people who don't have it to begin with. I've loved Origins Frothy Face wash.

You just need to put on powder and baam you look stunning but we dry skin girls have to moistrase, prime, take care what makeup you use, cant just put on some powder, nooo you have to buy a setting spray which makes you look dewy and fresch or you'll look like someones granma

Oh my God! The look is stunning, of course you too. Ellana, I think I have the same grade of oiliness you are describing and I hate it because I also break out frequently. Other problem are my laaaarge pores -.- I think is the part I hate the most. Could you please share us what do you do to minimize yours? Oh! And I have a suggestion. I'm brunette and It's hard to me to find the colors that go for Latina type complexion. So it would be helpful if some time you do tutorials for brunettes.
