I remember listening to it while driving through europe on vacation in the nice weather. That song is what i remember the best when i think about that vacation back in early 2018. I had just found out he passed away around early 2020, even though he actually passed away on Christmas Day of 2019. Even though the statement made on behalf of him by his team and family didn't confirm him dying of an accidental drug overdose, his girlfriend made a tribute post to her official Instagram shortly after his passing, where she did mention his struggles with substance abuse a few times and him worrying about disappointing her because of his struggles. I'm guessing that's where most people got the news/assumption, outside of his immediate circle. In both the music that was released while he was alive and some of the posthumous stuff that dropped, he does talk about self-medicating and getting high a lot. He was very honest about what he was going through, which I think is what made him so loved. It sucks. Losing anyone to addiction and overdosing. Is also it's heartbreaking for his family and friends. As someone who had just discovered his music a couple months before he passed, it sucks not seeing how far he could have accomplished down the road. He did make some amazing music in his time here, and I hope it's legacy as an artist will be kept alive.
