It's amazing how you're able to keep in its integrity the delicate balance and mix of sounds, harmonies and melodies and styles which make a song (and eventually its author) immediately recognizable... once again, Jake, you've been able to do that and let us hear that song in all of its uniqueness! Thank you for sharing... and well, while I'm here (even if three weeks after), happy new year to you and to your beloved ones! ^_^

Thanks very much Dan and happy new year to you as well! Look up Paul Simon's original version of this song, it's really great.

Jake...WOW! I forgot about this tune. It's been quite a while since I listened to it and you've interpreted it so well. Nice changes.

Like LaraSixtyEight below, I don't know the song but it's bursting at the seams with 'Simonisms'. I close my eyes and I hear a full band even though I know it's only you playing. And as usual your treatment of the harmony takes my breath away. You're on the best form ever.

Thanks for asking! No, I'm afraid not. It takes a lot of work to create such a DVD and as beautiful as this song is, I don't think many people know it and so I don't think i can sell many copies. Still, I can create a DVD lesson just for you, contact me privately if you wanted to find out more.

That is very kind of you! I am curious, were/are you familiar with the original? It's such a beauty, talk about soul soothing...

You can find it right here on KZbin, one band version, a clip from the movie "One trick pony" (the song starts about half way through, after the van conversation scene), as well as a solo version from "The Muppets"...

Soul touching song, played to perfection. Bravo! This is my favorite song from Paul Simon's perhaps least known (least successful) album. Love to listen to this song after a crazy busy and long day at work. Many thanks, I bet this wasn't easy!

Jake, pro playing and fantastic arrangement, I'm sure you have a large repertoire of greatly arranged tunes to fill a whole evening with an attentive crowd,do you play gigs alone also, like receptions, home parties etc? Enjoyed this very much,Vic.

Great version!!! 👍👍 I need to try to learn this one... Radka Toneff did a beautiful version of this Paul Simon treasure as well. It's on the Butterfly album.

hey man, your dvds were great - still learning the EWF 'after the love ....' one now. Im not much of a guitar freak so I wouldn't know what to ask for when I go to buy my next guitar. I've always wanted one like yours or any type of jazzy guitar, what do I ask for at the guitar shop and do you have any other things hooked up to the guitar other than the amp? Cheers man, flawless as usual
