A few of us here in Sydney, Australia, were commenting that we had not seen anything new from you for a while, so you were missed. We often forget that the northern hemisphere tend to concentrate your modelling work to the winter months - we are at it all year round.

Thanks Kiw! I had a blast building forms and messing with concrete, Kinda funny that I first used forms for 1:160 retaining walls and then went 1:1!!

My wife and I continue to be blown away by your scenery skills! She wants to know - how do you get your water so reflective? I'm assuming it's resin with only minimal texturing? If it's resin, do you prep it specially before pouring, like maybe using a pressure pot to get bubbles out? Finally, is there a video buried somewhere back in your catalog where you talk about resin?
@SouthernAlbertaRail Жыл бұрын
Depends on the application. I use different techniques for rivers than for lakes. I have an 11 part series covering the scenery through the Michel Creek area on the layout where I dedicate 3 videos (Parts 7, 8 and 9) to prepping the creek bed as well as pouring texturing and detailing the "water". Cheers. -grant

Hey Grant, glad the camera phone is finally fully charged again! Love the look of the new cement plant ('belly button' cement plant - hilarious). I agree with you on 'deadline motivation'...I'm installing my last (hopefully) under-benchwork turnout motors and fascia controls today prior to next Sunday's open house. I also thought your concrete forms were for an expanded train room 🙂. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
