You do realize once you get it fitted the way you want it . Its will be time to get a new one .lol but you will have the experience and knowledge of this build so it will be a faster and better build each time . Everytime we rebuild our 4x4's its a new experience and makes us love what we are doing all that much more . Love your ride and can't wait to see what you do next . Drive , live , and enjoy . Two fuel tanks on a truck is awesome for instance my pickup has a dual tank setup which holds 27 and a half gallons of fuel in metric is 105 liters of fuel and my highway average is about 17 miles to the gallon when I'm not loaded heavy which is about almost 500 miles 800 km at 65 mph the faster I go the more fuel I do use so the moral of the story is keep your center of gravity low and the fuel in a secured location to help prevent hazards

thats a good one👌🏽 But i would recommend the Brown davis 150l tank coz it replaces the factory (Brown davis are located in Gauteng, Jetpark area) main reason is that the 80l auxiliary tank sits under the overhang of the vehicle and thats an additional 80kgs to the rear overhang on top of the canopy and of the roof rail...for better weight distribution and for the sack of that chassis its better to put most of the weight between the wheel base

What would be the price of the 150 liter tank you are reffering to? Im one of the many people who only stop when the tank is empty and having something with that capacity would help a lot

Matt, is it noticably slower to fill? Obviously an extra 80l takes longer (double), but is it even slower than that? I know that some brands are *very* slow to fill. Also, does the bakkie use the aux tank first? So your guage shows full until the aux tank is empty and only after that does the guage start to go down?

Toyota owner here to! (Guess that thing drinks 1L /10 Km or so) our Corolla touring sports 2.0 wants 0.45L /10 Km. Range: 800 km. Tank volume IS too small on Japanese cars IMHO

450kms is an insane drop in economy. My hilux (manual) unladen on all terrains on the highway gets over 1000kms to a tank, I get that you are hauling a serious bit of kit but I’m very surprised at the difference.

It’s out of the way and out of sight, lower centre of gravity, closer to the axle, all round better

@@chasp_0784 Yeah and directly closer the the sharp stones and terrain driving over therefore risk of damage to the tyre before you even need it.
