What was the purpose?
@nicholasmaude69069 ай бұрын
@@labbeaj It was a weapons rearch shot, this and other XW-47 prototypes were developed into the W47 two-stage thermonuclear warhead with the 600KT W47Y1 used on the Polaris A1 SLBM and the 1.2MT W47Y2 used on the Polaris A2.

Nuclear Blast videotapes are pretty cool to watch. A small suggestion that I might add to the content creator of this channel is to display the yield and some other type of data of the explosion.

I'd like to know the true intentions of these "bombs".
@PWN3GE8 ай бұрын
@@labbeaj Terror is the intention. When they were originally built, the scientists thought the atomic bomb would be so terrifying it would end war all together - and in a certain sense it did, since no nuclear armed nations have entered into direct conflict with each other in the 80 years since they were built. Waging total war at the scale of WW2 is a thing of the past if a single bomb can destroy an entire army. However it has also created a new balance of power- because now nuclear armed nations can do whatever they want to non-nuclear nations with little fear of reprisal.

@PWN3GE that's the best explanation I've heard yet and I completely agree with it.

Growing up, all they taught us was Nagasaki, Hiroshima and Bikini Atol. I had no idea they were so many nuclear bomb tests thanks to education.

Great video! Except for the damn thumbnails destroying the last ten percent of the video. 😡 Very sick of this. You'd think the college indoctrinated individuals in charge of KZbin could do better...but obviously if they let this crap fly then they are either not very intelligent or just don't care about ruining videos. Or both. We don't need our video ruined by thumbnails of videos coming next. We can find them on our own, matter of fact we prefer too! Do better KZbin
