This is such a clear explanation! Thank you. What do you do if you want to do more than two lines of colours though?

Thank you! You would simply add more colors on, the same way that you set up the 2nd color. Just add them in the order that they need to be 😊

Also, you might have to make a much larger slipknot on a 3rd (4th, 5th, etc) color because you would need to slip it over not just the former sts but you'd also want to pull the entire yarn balls/butterflies of the earlier colors through as well before you cinched up the slipknot. Tricky, yes, but definitely possible!

How much yarn is needed for the cast on? Is there a way to estimate the length needed ?
