Im sorry you totally missed the point of the NP300 bakkie it's purpose is to be utility oriented, for farms, mines, plantations etc... and its perfect and well priced for what its purpose is not like a hilux or ranger which is no longer a utility vehicle over priced and weak at carrying loads.

Were you aware that you were buying one of the oldest pick up designs when you bought it? There is a reason why it is so much cheaper than the competition. It was replaced by the Navara ages ago but Nissan pulled the VW Citi golf trick by continuing building this vehicle as a cheap basic vehicle for as you mention a certain niche market. Safety and comfort has evolved since this pick up was designed 20 ?? years ago. Honestly, I think you made a lot of effort to just tell us you did not do your homework before you bought a cheap pick up.

Tjom Respect the video but I don’t think you are grasping what the np300 is built for. The car is essentially a 20 year old car, so yes it has 20 year old styling. Put it simply, this car is a cheap workhorse, the car was built properly 20 years and Nissan stuck to it, call me kiss ass but this car isn’t designed to have you being comfortable it’s designed to be a workhorse and it’s dam good at it. Cheap, reliable and strong, that’s what you need to understand

Best selling vehicle in Mexico, where pickups count almost as much as in the US but hard work utilitarian credentials count even more.... but for some reason they are sold with european safety options (you can see crash tests of the Euro NP300 vs the African NP300 and they are sooooo different)
@adrivewithty73563 жыл бұрын
Really? And how is the reliability in Mexico? That’s interesting they are selling it in euro spec? You would think in a bug market there, they would be different!
@aldo_agazzi3 жыл бұрын
@@adrivewithty7356 no, actually they used to follow Latin NCAP, and those standards are pretty weak and saftey regulation is minimal. But japanese brands face serious saftey allegations due to the fact that car dealerships kept selling early 2000s model vehicles with little saftey. On the other hand pretty much all Mexican cars are also sold in the US and American press is really influential in Mexico and americans too started to notice problems with mazdas saftey reinforcements, problems with nissans traction control in emergency turns ect. that pushed the dealers to put much more emphasis in saftey standards by simply installing saftey components from the euro market despite NOT being required to do so by law. Saftey aside Mexican car market is a mix of south american and us models ( you have dacias-renaults, fiats like the ones you find in brasil, india, eastern europe AND Lincoln, Cadillac, Buick, Acura, Infinity, Lexus, Chrysler, RAM that you only find in Canada and US) but no European specific brands (no Opel, no Italian fiats, no skoda, no Lancia, no Alfa Romeo, no Rover). on average people used to buy Pickups and large sedans but now SUVs are taking over.
@aldo_agazzi3 жыл бұрын
@@adrivewithty7356 reliability is a major concern, that's why despite people having american-style preferences they buy japanese (big sedans like nissan altima, maxima toyota camry or pickups from honda, nissan and fiat. more utilitarian ones) but it rally depends... up north is a huge desert, down south is rain forest so cars vary a lot, and in Mexico City you are at 2700mts of altitude and engines are under more stress due to the air atmospheric pressure so many reliable cars tend to struggle (like volvo and mercedes) and some more battle-horse ones tend to last more (that's the reason why nissan tends to be more reliable than toyota while the exact opposite happens in the US )

Bro, you don't know when you are well off. The Nissan Hardbody is a terrific workhorse which has been priced unbelievably competitively. I wish we could get these cars at that price here in the UK, but we can't, they aren't marketed here. The offerings here is a high tech, way more expensive to buy, and going to cost you a lot more to keep serviced and in good working order. And soon it, the Navarra, is to be withdrawn altogether as well. Whereas the NP300 is basic, so any mechanic or DIY guy can manage to fix it. The fact Nissan have kept the car unchanged for so long is a benefit and testament to the vehicles absolute utility. Spare parts are readily available and cheap. Get a newer design (of which there are plenty) and you will be paying through the nose to the mechanic shop every time a sensor misfires. As for your size, well at 6ft 5" you are hardly likely to be super comfortable in anything but the biggest of trucks, which would also cost you more than double what you paid for the Nissan. Workhorses of simple design that are cheap to buy, cheap and easy to fix, and reliable to the point they just go and go and go are a dying breed the world over so I just don't know why you would want to knock them and demand more of the same high tech, expensive, dealership dependent vehicles you are going to get anyway in due course. When the HP 300 is gone you will lament the loss every time you get the bill from the dealership for whatever new vehicle you are driving by then. As for the lack of cup holder, I reckon I can live without them, since I'm not that big of a coffee drinker.
@adrivewithty73562 жыл бұрын
I apologize for taking so long to respond to your comment! 🙏🏼 I value and respect your opinion, but I think you maybe miss understood from the angle I have taken this. In South Africa, the NP300 have been so over priced that I have to compare it to the market and what you can get for the same price range. I do respect the workability of it, as I used it in construction, it served its purpose well, but if you have it and require it as a weekend car, it’s not a good fit. I feel if certain aspects were slightly different, I’d have a much higher regard and opinion overall! I hope that makes better sense?

if you're looking for a luxury vehicle then go to the firm. my dad and both drive one of this both the dual cab and single cab models and my only issue was not fixing the suspension after 5 years lol. not luxurious at all but they hold load good, get to point A and B , pretty basic honestly. Really good for companies that require workers to drive the vehicles. the AC works well too. not that much speed but its for work. offroad customization works well too. Has the fully loaded older models with nicer interiors and sun roofs but they carry the YD25 and the ZD30 which is faster than the base 4x2 TD27 which competes with the 4x2 yd25 but its slower however its the TD is a beast that you need to try to break and it can also take customization to be faster. The QD32 however is a beast and again its not the fastest but why the fuq would you try to run a single cab past 200? not having much weight at the back it'll flip despite designs. if can get a few of these imported to my country i'll be happy. the navara and the np300 have a league of features but ive met a few np owners who has their engines knocking because they didn't change their oils on time. im upgrading to a hilux because of resale value and NPs are not durable, ford is Fix Or Repair Daily and isuzu is basically buying it to resell it for a quarter the price later. the only time mine ever failed me is because of neglect, i highly recommend

I am sitting on 40,000km. It is a 2019 model. I don't have the 4x4 option though. I had multiple issues with the suspension, steering (that staff at Nissan admitted was a design flaw when turning too sharp), doors have rubbers in them that has to be replaced ever so often and regarded as wear and tear that I have to pay for to be fixed. If I have a heavy load to carry the steering has play and slides all over the road. Seating is super uncomfortable even though I am only 5'11. I agree with the cup holders. There is hardly space in the back to store something behind the seat. You have to unwind the window to adjust the mirrors. Radio pops off when you hit a pothole. Don't hit a pothole!!! I agree!!! Just found out the shock broke off. Second time I've had this issue. Our business had a Mitsubishi Colt that we drove for 15 years and never had issues until the end. My definition of the Nissan NP300 is that it is a cheap car that just happens to have a big bucket in the back.
