I've had the same housing for about a year and have completed 30+ SCUBA dives with no issues. The deepest I have gone with this housing is right at 100 ft and it performed as expected. I have a third-party tray, red filter and the wide-angle, wet dome port. I also have the Sony 30mm f3.5 Macro lens and it fits if you remove the front shroud. Some of my lessons learned: 1. You have to be mindful that the selector switch is in the "off" position before you insert the camera or you're just lugging around extra weight until you can get back to the surface and fix it. The switch is easy to bump while the camera is out so you need to double and triple check when installing the camera. 2. The threaded tray attachment is very shallow, so you may have to add washers if you are using a third-party tray. 3. Back-button focus is difficult to use underwater due to the AEL button not being pronounced. Make sure you use the shutter release focus setting. 4. Don't secure the red filter until you get underwater. It will trap air and cause focus/blurring issues. 5. The wide-angle, wet dome port has three holes that allow water to enter the dome which makes it difficult to get good over/under waterline shots. Heading back to Bonaire in a couple of weeks with a new Sea-n-Sea strobe to see how it performs using the fiber-optic TTL setting. I will add a comment to this review with my results. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with performance of this housing for the price. If you want to see pictures taken with this housing, check out my instagram at divetraveller68.

Thank you for the review!! There aren't many videos for these Seafrog housings so you answered a lot of my questions and made me more confident in considering this housing!

Tremendous video, very ilustrative, i'll buy it this summer surely, thanx for your time, i hope it works with the sony 35mm 1.8 lens, don't listen all those whiners

Glad it was helpful! I played around with the 35mm one time, great detail but I found it still too narrow to capture general underwater videos

Did you ever hear back from SeaFrogs about the moisture sensor alarm no longer working? How was their post-sale service?
@mewtube75285 жыл бұрын
I never got around to writing them that email yet.. soon.

Thanks for the review. Can I connect a cable for an external TTL flash/strope to the housing?

Thank you for all the info! Were the videos shot at 16mm? They look so narrow. And great job on the sea dragon. When I looked at the 16-50mm lens I was worried that I couldn't shoot smaller subjects because of the minimum focal distance. How close did you get to that dragon? Was it hard to get a focus that close?
Razza POV i dont see why not a6300 is the same size

hi i have a question, does this underwater case work for the sony alpha a6600?
@stefpix5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I got this one. Seafrogs sells spare leak indicators. I imagine the battery of it may die. I use with the housing the Leak Insure absorbing sachets that also prevent fogging apart from absorbing a leak. Where did you take your home footage?

Will this work for the a6400???
@juanjose49224 жыл бұрын
Can anybody confirm that the a6400 will fit in to this housing properly? I suspect it does, I could swear I've seen confirmation somewhere else some time ago but i cant remember.

Would someone happen to know the approximate buoyancy values for the case and the wet lens? I've tested it in fresh water and came at about 1 kg positive when empty. Maybe someone has a solution for getting it to be neutral?
@mewtube75285 жыл бұрын
I found it very buoyant in sea water, so much so I ended up buying the tray that they also sell. That made it neutrally buoyant. Now I've got a seadragon dive light attached to the system which makes it slightly negative

Showing how to place camera inside, instead of wasting time to showing how to connect the handle with lamp would be a good idea. You skipped the most important part of using this stuff. No one care about empty box with handle and a lamp ;)

Get the f outta here you bunch of whiners! You just place it in.. Not hard :D
