Hi Miki! I chanced upon your latest video and I can't help but to watch a few more of your past videos. Thank you for having good memories of Singapore. It's really good that you've adapted well in Hong Kong. I just wonder when you'll come back to Singapore again, at least for a break from work. I'm sure that you do miss Singlish and some parts of the country.
I didn't realise you live in Hong Kong. I rarely see Japanese ppl in HK and always wondered how you adapt to HK life. I have lived in HK for about 4 years and always wonder what Japanese ppl think of HK life and ppl. Do they like it, do they think ppl are rude? Etc etc. Life is so privileged in Japan when I visited, so I wonder if it's a downgrade to a Japanese persons quality of life when living in HK? By the way, Impressive Cantonese 😊

I don't agree with you regarding your presumption, and I feel particularly uncomfortable with the word "downgrade" that you chose. Japan is genuinely a perfect travel destination. But from my perspective, HK is a gem, and I am so grateful that I could spend my life here. Japan offer amazing local food ingredients and foreign cuisine (especially European fine dining), but HK/Chinese food is heavenly if it is done the right way. While Japanese are generally polite, which has something to do with their unique culture, Hong Kongers tend to be westernized and rather straight-forward. Compared to Japan and Korea, Hong Kong is very welcoming to foreigners. And I bet Miki-san feel priviledged living here in HK. What bothers me about HK is the unreasonably expensive accommodations and the high living cost.

@@victorchin5765 It's not a presumption, it's reality. Local ppl who defend HK are clearly overly patriotic, to the point they lose all common sense. It's plain brain washing and don't know what reality is. For eg, In front of me I see a red cup, but every HK ppl will tell you it's a blue cup, because if they don't then they'll lose their job etc too. HK has a deceptive and ruthless denial culture especially in the work place. So, HK ppl live with this reality everyday, except the 120,000 locals who have left HK so far. HK ppl prefer living in fantasy over reality, in order to survive.
