Love small rodeos. Don’t go often enough. Those were very brave turkeys. Thanks for posting.

Small rodeos are the best and Writing-On-Stone is the best of the best!

Wasn't there a Dam blow out on the Milk river in Montana, earlier this year near Babb, could that have to do with the low water at Writing on Stone ?

Yes, it was actually a siphon carrying water from the St. Mary River to the north fork of the Milk River. I'll be exploring that soon.

Not only are you a standout photographer…yes I mean it and the pun too is intended…you’re also now the turkey whisperer. Unlike you I’m a mountain dude…but, I’ve only been to the Canadian prairie vicariously through your videos. Dandy video Mike.

You are too kind, Bob! But if you have been to the grasslands of Colorado or Nebraska, the landscape is very similar. Very little yucca and a lot more fescue but we have roughly similar flora and fauna, right down to rattlesnakes and scorpions. Come on up some time!

@@mdrewpix1 I have been out on the Nebraska prairie country. It’s nice, but I don’t recall anything as nice as your pictures show. I think part of it is up north you have groves of aspens and pines even in the prairie country. This far south it’s elms and such. Not as nice in my opinion but it’s been years since I’ve been there. Yes we need to venture north of the border for sure.

@@SanJuanMountainBob You are right but as you get further east, the trees become fewer. I love it!
