One thing I couldn't help noticing is how good he is at *falling* , arms and limbs tucked in, making himself roll or rock a bit to keep the road rash to a minimum. That to me just really shows how good he is, he's practiced and fallen so much that he's even gotten good at that.

Seriously though! Take time to learn how to fall and tumble, it will save your ass countless times. Obviously it's great for something like longboarding that will involve lots of falling, but also in daily life if you trip or slip and fall you can do so without wrecking yourself.

Love that segment at the beginning where he shows all the clips of him practicing and failing, because that’s part of mastering a skill. You fall and you learn. Those people just showing their successful clips make it seem like they never mess up and are perfect at the skill. I have mad respect for the people who show their falls and their failures with no shame because it makes them seem a lot more human.

@@bryleciel snowboarding - no trucks, wheels etc; on snow; connected to the board, riding on the edge to make turns...... Skateboard and longboard - same components just in different sizes and shapes and other material/flex of the deck. I mean nothing wrong with longboarding but it‘s just a fact that it takes less skill to do what he does than to do what (non pro) skaters do. It‘s nothing too special, just a video with shitty mainstream music, a good stylish looking guy and fancy editing. And these are the ingredients for a viral yt videos nowadays. I bet 90% of the people who watch this don‘t skate at all.

It‘s just people like u (I guess) that are amazed by this vid cause they don‘t have anything to do with skating. So glad to see you include the falls at the start. That helps convey just how difficult this is and thus how impressive the rest of the video is. Also, kudos for actually caring about that poor kid you sniped off their bike at the start - I could very easily see someone at your level just coming up, grabbing their longboard, and then leaving (perhaps after saying something rude to the kid).
