What a perfect vid. I've been surfing for 57 yrs now and still get out every day if it's worth it. This is what the sport is about, the afternoon glassoff, one more before heading home, reliving the day's rides with friends, the beauty of Mom Ocean. Thank you.

This sums up surfing and the real meaning which i think has been long lost in media events, comps, agro, the need for air and radical moves , this is funcional pure surfing, soul surfing

Hey there Rich .. very nice work here !! Your assembled clip beautifully captures the pure joy, grace & elegance of classic-style old-time longboard surfing .. "soul surfing", as some have termed it. And a lovely song to match. This inter-se compilation of classy sound + accompanying, perfect-fit visuals is very, very pleasing to the senses. Many thanks !!

I play this whenever I’m really missing the ocean. I learned on a longboard back in 1963 and the lyrics for the song are very personal to me

Thanks Rich, something about this song with these pictures, is so evocative for this old goofy foot...the worst surfer Southern California ever produced. But my first board when I was 14 ....52 years ago was a Hobie Alter 9'6", I used to have little shorts that had a pocket for my wax. and all my girlfriends, Shelley, Ginny, Dorothy and Susan used to pile the boards in the Studebaker and drive to Doheny...Killer Dana..I can still feel the splinters in my feet from the jetty

Burnt Toast Productions really captured the better stylists of Malibu active in the 90s early 2000s. Their Ventura Santa Barbara footage shines equally bright....watch their videos and you can learn plenty.

Does anyone know another version (same artist or another covering it) with a longer intro and including steel (slide) guitar? It's in a different key, too. Details please.
