@lb4liife great choice of wheels and deck, i think you will be very happy
@PoisonedUPSB14 жыл бұрын
@lb4liife I know you're over this now, but just so you have the knowledge: What causes grip is the more a wheel deforms and digs into the road when turning. A round lip wheel doesn't have that sharp lip hanging over the core of the wheel, and since it isn't deforming it slides much sooner. You should have fun on the wheels you chose. In my opinion I would go with the nemesis over the the demonseed just because I feel the the demonseed has to much room to easily control, but its all preferance.

@MrVigel ok, that wasn't any help. theres a difference between carving and leaning with intent to slide and carving and have your wheels lose traction. I know the 80a's are going to grip more but I want a wheel that slides easily too. I have durians that I have carved and lose traction and slide out, so Im wondering how much the lip helps. like will the lip prevent this from happening most of the time.
@MrVigel14 жыл бұрын
@lb4liife any wheel will break into a slide if you carve hard enough, if you want the grippyest otang then get the 80a inheat (orange)
@OreWaSpencer14 жыл бұрын
@amonroy985 Pick a wheel and slide it... Done! If you're asking what wheel is best for sliding, you're probably just a beginner, which means you'll probably not notice much of a difference between 86a and 80a wheels. Learning to slide on lipped wheels can actually be easier than with rounded wheels; lipped wheels have a very noticeable breakaway point and help with creating muscle memory.

@takeyourshoesoffnow Actually Kevin's trucks are pretty loose (hard to get a restrictive feeling in Aeras actually), it's just different technique. James hangs his feet off the side and weights the back a lot, Kevin keeps his weight centered over his board more.

@MrVigel thats exactly what i said..............only i was curious if the lip makes a BIG difference on breaking out versus a curved lip of the same durometer. dont reply im just going to take sycopprods advise and check out some forums. thanks for trying to help.
@MrVigel14 жыл бұрын
@lb4liife your not understanding me man, there is a difference between carving+leaning to slide and just hard carving but when your carving hard, if you carve hard enough even if you dont shift your weight you can still lose traction and break into a slide even if you dont mean to, the orange inheats is the wheel that will allow for the hardest carving without losing grip although i have carved super hard and slid out unintentionally before if you want a wheel that slides and grips purple 4prez

@amonroy985 Yellow 86a Orangatang Stimulus and Fat Frees have the best slide. The smaller contact patches and rounded lips are bomb for slides. The yellow 86a 4 Prez were meant for speed but can be used for slides as well, just not as nice as the Stimulus and Fat Frees. I personally hated the Durians slide compared to most of my other wheels, very choppy and uncomfortable. But like stevenjv said, any wheel can slide no matter what, practice your technique and form first.
