That was a fascinating game all the way through. Congratulations, too, to Aldo for putting up such a good fight.

I bought your french defense dvd's (the whole Ginger Gm collection actually), I have only watched the first one, and I a already winning more games with black than with white. I can recommend it to anyone.

Yes Simon! Longer games are the best thing. It is extremely useful listening at your thinking process, especially for those who can't have a chess teacher. Thanks a lot for this content

There's a good reason why these long-play vids are so popular. imo the most informative (and some of the most entertaining) chess videos on all of yt. Bravo Simon, keep 'em coming!

Sound quality really scratchy. Sounded like mic volume was too high. Great video though and well played Aldo! Should have won!

Would you consider using chessable for your next french defense series? I really believe the move trainer helps a lot of players, but I love your content in particular.

Hey Simon, now that you have the Jobava London, the Black Lion and the Dutch on Chessable, do you plan to adapt your French Defense dvd's to this platform ? I'd kill to have it, that's the only thing I use to study openings since that's a real time saver, and the French Defense resources over there are lacking (there's only one good book by a NM you could complement very well with your unique style).

a recommendation: if u click a piece (and r holding it in ur cursor/hand) and change ur mind and dont wanna move it - instead of placing it back on its original square (which is very prone to error) just "drop" it off the side of the board - since thats no legal move it will be placed back in its original position (less prone to error)

I agree it sounds like clipping, but not sure it's due to the mic?

This is a great lesson of good aggressive play. May I suggest GM Williams to please give yourself much more time -- so you can take your time to explain while playing at your very best and lessen the pressure on you. That's what is important imo. Although you still did marvelously under the circumstances and with tough competition too. Thx. Ps. Was that Aldo Nova? Lol, j/k! Well chess is a fantasy huh? Oh and talk about a "perfect" game -- that last one by Dubov vs Nakamura. Perfect?! Excellent, imo! Thx Again.

I absolutely love these videos and the chess played in them Ginger, but maybe your opponent should give you time odds! If you're having to explain moves to the audience maybe Aldo would agree that it's only fair to give you an extra 5 minutes. Just something to think about.

IM Levy Rozman plays great chess and presents very well like you do, but hardly has subscribers. Maybe you could invite him for a game and stream? Would be fun to see two of my favorite chess channels battle against each other.
