In this online game I pick a longer time limit, 15+10, my aim is to really explain the thought processes behind the moves that I am playing.
Hopefully this will help you understand better the way I think, and the way Grandmasters approach the game.
Thank you Aldo for the wonderful thumbnail!

Nicely done! Blitz doesn't suit you in terms of trying to teach us something as they are short on time. While I thoroughly enjoy your blitz games, you should do them without talking/teaching and then talk about them afterwards. You clearly do much better in short blitz games with real pieces...your demeanor is much different. This one was fun to watch and learn from and you have plenty of time to jabber on about whatever you liked. Well done, Chap! :)

Hey Simon, since I'm a self centered rising chess player, here's a list of what I personally want from these kinds of videos. (Other people, feel free to comment what you want too)1. General knowledge - opening themes, endgame theory, and chess proverbs that one should always keep in mind (i.e. attacking h3 in the Pirc, uncleared draws/wins, and rook + pawn < 2 minor pieces)2. Opinions on openings - since currently I mainly study straight from a database, It takes a while to know what I'm getting into, I know personally if two or three good lines were mentioned in some of the early moves, and you have your notes on them, how solid, sharp, etc. they are, that would greatly help me3. Identifying mistakes, why they're bad, and what would be better - duh!4. Evaluations - if you occasionally took a minute to pause and ask the audience to appraise the position, and then told us what you reckon, mentioning imbalances and why (or why not) they're important, that would be pretty cool5. A method to your madness - while you might not sack as much in standard games, when you do (or don't) it would be interesting to hear specifically whyI dunno just a fan throwing out suggestions, look forward to more of this series. Hopefully the returns format correctly, apologies if this was a messy text wall

Great video - love to hear the way you think as it re-enforces the more general things you always need to think about in a game, regardless of the position. I can't learn every opening (or even one very well), but just having a sense of finding weaknesses, and then learning how to exploit them, is what really makes a difference to a patzer like me.
