Watched the news with my grandparents when I'd go visit the farm......50 miles from Lubbock.....😢 been about 15 years since they both sat in that living room together RIP .....Glad for these two....been special how they've reached the South Plains far and wide....thank you ✝️

I miss West Texas and KCBD. They are an outstanding network and they cover the entire area. Spent a year in a tiny town an hour and a half east of Lubbock and they came and broadcast live and highlighted tons of stories from the community. Was such a cool thing to be a part of.

Born in Lubbock and grew up all over Texas. KCBD news will always be in my heart as the crew my family listened to growing up. Karen McKay wrote my mother a card when I was born and she would visit my mothers consignment store often. Wonderful woman.

My father got stationed at Reese AFB and we moved from Okinawa, Japan to Lubbock in July 1979. Been watching Karin and Abner ever since. Congrats!

When was this story shot? I worked with Karin & Abner back in 1981-82 and that looks like the old Studios on Ave A not the news ones on University. Ave.
