I love the evolution of "Aren't you glad that you were right?" to "I'm so sorry you were right." At the beginning, Hypno is just trying to hypnotize you, but as you become more and more hypnotized, he lets himself show his remorse. I also love the transition in between of "I'm so glad- (that you were right)", which led him to think about why he was glad, which leads him to feel remorseful. The fact that it's cut off only emphasizes this fact.
@daltonsharp6254 Жыл бұрын
Hmmmm…. I wonder why he started to feel remorseful…. I’m curious because I’ve never read the creepy pasta.
@dudical111 Жыл бұрын
@@daltonsharp6254 To sum up the story (and if I'm wrong please correct me lol), it's stated in the pokedex that all hypnos eat nightmares. So I'm pretty sure what happened was this hypno grew so hungry for nightmares that he put his trainer to sleep and intentionally gave him nightmares... and his trainer slept until he died of hunger or thirst. Hypno had become full-on addicted to the power that eating nightmares gives him and had killed his owner, either knowingly or unkowingly, in order to get his fix. After that line was crossed, he then started luring kids into the forest to do the same he did to his trainer since kids were easiest to hypnotize, smallest so they could fit into his cave better, and often had the worst nightmares. So, in summary, Hypno is hardcore addicted to eating kids' nightmares.

I think my personal favorite is the fact the Hypno is using his Pendulum for both Hypnosis and to keep his rhythm in his song. It really adds to the fact that, this isn’t his first time, his first rodeo. He’s done this before, knowing his art, his craft, his signature stain on the family he left empty. Yet he also lets off that he feels remorseful for making them feel so bad, though at the same time it’s what he lives to do now. To survive and see their fear, their torment, then torture at not being better. It’s a very in-depth story of this Hypno and what they’ve done through all their tries and takes at doing this very thing. With his song being so soft and elegant as to lull the victim. While his more aggressive verses are once they’ve let their guard down and he can start to sink in his claws a bit, before backing off. The victim fighting back to resist, before inevitably failing to get away. Must say, very beautiful and catchy song. Matches the dynamic of the Creepypasta and is so DAMN CATCHY. That first verse got me jamming right away. “Look in my eyes, Watch as the Pendulum swings. Your mind, Consumed by the words that I sing. Be free to run now, Be free to play, Be free to never again see the light of day.”

Just the fast paced verses followed by the slower, grand chorus is actually hypnotic. The impact of "You're never leaving... I'm so sorry you were right..." It makes it hits so much harder that this is a hellishly psychotic creature taking children from their families to feed off their grief, into an eternal nightmare of their own that lasts until they die in restless sleep in an unmarked grave.

Sorry I didnt check this out sooner, this stuff goes hard! When I read about you taking inspiration from Break My Mind (a DAGames classic that's admittedly far from my favorite but still a banger) I felt much more compelled to give it a listen, and I was not disappointed! The instrumental and mixing is very high quality, and I love the choice to go for a faster pace - I naturally assumed "oh it's Hypno's Lullaby it's going to be slow" so it made for a pleasant surprise! (I love how in the bridge you get "step by step, watch it swing to the left and the right," sung in the exact cadence as a similar verse from Break My Mind, and put between the beast's devilish taunts as it was in that song. Even though most of the song sounds very original and I love it for that, I love that you wear that inspiration on your sleeve. Probably a detail thousands of other people have pointed out but I needed to make a comment about it because I just love that personally.) Overall banger nerdcore song, and a pleasant surprise! Keep making these bangers! [I liked Code Red also :)]

Just found this from TikTok and I love all of the references like hide and seek, break your mind, and a few I recognize but can't place! Going on the playlist!

The quote "step by step, watch it swing to left and the right" 1:58 reminded me of a similar quote in the FNAF 4 Song called 'Break My Mind', he sang it the same way too. I like that.

It would drive me absolutely crazy if it didn’t. Took a lot of math to calculate the frame timing
