It really doesn't get enough love. It's one of the only songs from Sonic 3 that wasn't in Sonic & Knuckles, and it kind of fell by the wayside because of it.

It's a good song but it just doesn't hit as hard as the & Knuckles version, that version sounds like you're actually up against a strong enemy, the MJ version just sounds like a dance tune.

I don't know if everyone knew this or not but it was actually Micheal Jackson that is saying "WOO" and "CMON" as he was one of the people who composed the music for sonic 3 but he didn't like how the sega genesis sounded on his system so he asked them to just remove the name but his work stayed

Not really, those sounds are actually from a sample pack, from Skip To My Loops. The "Come on" was even re-used in Jet Set Radio.

Ellis Clark Actually, MJ didn't get any of the credit at all until more recently in history when the team who helped compose the music confirmed MJ was actually deeply involved in the making of the music, as he always is. But because he wasn't happy with the final sound on the console, and the child abuse allegations, he decided to remain uncredited, something Sega was also quite happy with as they didn't want to have to deal with the issue either. Anyway, before any of this came out, fans had long speculated he was involved. When I was a kid, I pointed out to my siblings that the End credit theme sound exactly like Stranger In Moscow except sped up. And that was way back in the early 90s. Anyway, it was a team collaboration, and that has been noted more than once by every involved except MJ because he died before the public could ask him about his involvement. But MJ has always given credit to the people who he worked with/helped him. He was a huge sonic fan and having the chance to even work on the stuff was good enough for him.

Really f*cking good. Amazing production too. The only thing I'd say (nitpicking constructively) is that the drums are a TAD too loud for me. I'm no tech pro or anything haha. But the drums do leap out a bit to my ear slightly. Would be even better if they blended slightly more with everything else and were taken back slightly in the mix. If it was a typical KZbin recording with typically average DIY sounding audio, then I wouldn't even think to say this. I say it because everything sounds so GOOD. Amazing work regardless. You're clearly a very talented young man. 5 star.
