Nail techs say that it takes up to the age of 16 for your nails to be mature enough to handle acrylic etc. you can use press ons till then. It’s cool you’re already passionate about it ❤

You and your hubby are so sweet. He reminds me so much of my brother-in-law, I'm sad. He had been my brother-in-law for 30 years. He is my family, but sadly my sister just informed me this week that they are getting divorced. They have been together for 34 years, they started dating in highschool, she was a sophomore and he was a senior. Both my older sister and I have had failed marriages so there I have always envied their marriage and their life. They did things the "right" way. They went to college, graduated, got married, bought a home, then had kids, continued their education, got better jobs, a nicer home and cars, they were able to spoil and support their athletic children with personal coaches, tutors, and programs. The two oldest got full ride athletic scholarships to university, they travel, etc. this was just such a surprise. I don't know why I just confided my sadness into complete strangers but I needed to talk to someone so why not the entire internet, lol? Needless to say, hold on to your hubby tight, and always put each other first, love until you can't love anymore, and just always remember to not be complacent because even a perfect marriage can eventually end if left unattended. Love you girl, congrats on all your success and your beautiful family.

I love the smell of monomer🙈 My older sister had a hair/nail salon when I was little so the smell reminds me of the days hanging out there. I grew up in the 80s/90s so that sh*t was strong back then😂

Their builder gel in the push container (it’s like a jar with a hole in the top and you push down and some comes out of a little hole) is absolute crap though, just fyi. It cures soft and peels away from nails pretty easily. Yes with proper prep and lights. It was the worst when I tested all my builders

@@thatsabadname6242but isn’t acrylic powder kinda damaging to the nails already!?? Adding keratin doesn’t really cancel that out. It’s like adding all the necessary oils and stuff (that your hair needs to be healthy) into relaxer. It doesn’t automatically cancel the damaging properties out.

Ahh this is actually the brand I use. I get it on Amazon though and I’ve never had an issue. Nails have lasted for over a month without popping off. Monomer smells very very strong though😭

These are awesome! I’m a last minute Halloween nail. When I used to work in salon, clients booked sooner for Halloween nails and later for me to fix their hair. You are awesome! IMPECCABLE bead control! Chefs kiss to that! You are right these diy cheaper powders are NOT core!! Glad you put that buyer beware info! I’m deciding I want to try your party gel! I wish I didn’t have lupus. I’d still do old school liquid and powder. I have to watch what I breathe in lungs lining is damaged slightly and gets infected easy. I really miss using the young nails, CND, Tammy Taylor, Ugly Duckling and EZ Flow. Those are the brands that worked best for me. Ugly duckling has a good odorless system. Low odor I work dryer beads, may have to try the Valentino out. Looks like normal workability. I like the content so far! Sorry late catching up. Long time viewer and rare commenter! I've used the Saviland Acrylic kit and I loved it! The mononer was a slow monomer which gave you time to mold your acrylic and the powder was extra fine, which made picking up easier and you didn't need too much. I have a job where I can't wear false nails, which I don't mind because that gives me a chance to work on my retched, badly filed down nails, but I'm thinking about trying the Mia Secret acrylic kit come Christmas break. 😊

I actually have no clue why but I absolutely love the smell of monomer. My mom always complains of even gel smelling when I do my nails in the living room. I also have been to couple hair salons when I was a child and I always like chemical smells way better than some natural odors. I can probably live in a salon at this point😂 Also I recently got some brushes from Shein and the acrylic ones so far have been great. I used to have AliExpress brushes and they were super bad. Maybe it’s just me getting better at cleaning them or the brush is indeed quite good (I also have been able to pick up very wet beads with less effort than years ago) so it’s still hard to say when my eyes have just soaked up enough visual understanding and my brain and motoric finally caught up or some of those products are actually decent quality. Also it’s still harder to get acrylic products here compared to when I had to order from Germany and wait DHL courier at the sundown (before parcel pickup stations) and I always try to get my monomer from “professional” stores (like actual salon equipment stores) and only bc of pandemic times it’s gotten better with being able to access them as more places started to allow regular people to buy salon stuff which otherwise requires a license and a client loyalty program. But I was inspired by all these Shein product tests and didn’t find available local monomer options so I went for Shein and I think it’s pretty fine so far. I use acrylic to attach press on tips to my natural nails (glue isn’t really an option and the design on top is too thick for gel so I tried out acrylic works the best so far) and I guess the monomer is quite fast as I don’t have too much time to mop around which I like better than my first monomer experience which I actually chose as slow acting as I was just starting off with acrylic and I was really slow. I do believe SHEIN is pretty decent most of the times. I’ve had more issues with clothing items than manicure and I’ve even found pretty nice press ons that will last me another year.
