A lot of people don’t appreciate the flyback chrono function that allows you to reset the chrono while it is still running for navigation, and more esoteric historical uses like announcing “splash” and “rounds complete” on an artillery barrage. You do not have to stop the chrono to reset it, and the vertical clutch means there is no second hand stutter

In my opinion, I think this Longines looks better than a Rolex Daytona.
@255popАй бұрын
Explanation regarding flyack is wrong on the video, flyback resets the chrono hand while the chrono is running using the reset chrono pusher, and the minutes register keeps running to track the total time elapsed.

Most of their watches are $2-$3000 range and are great vintage vibe watches. As far as Trifecta goes AND your/their generous discounts using RRTRIFECTA…I just purchased the (back ordered currently but purchasable) Seiko SSC947 “Pogue” Speedtimer for $543.75 (-25%). There is no tax (!) and no shipping so drive out is $543.75 from a retail of $725! Thanks Trifecta and of course you Rob!

It’s a brilliant watch And at 124 grams it’s worth the extra to get it in titanium . In stainless steel it about 180 g

I think this piece looks exceptional. It’s a bit thick though. Even thicker than my sea dweller which is crazy

Absolutely great Chronograph watch all around.... except that dinky under-developed clasp. Kind of strange why they didn't do it right there. It shouldn't be that difficult....

This needs a 12 hour rotating bezel you can align to the hour hand so you can track seconds, minutes and hours with the flyback. The minutes dive bezel is useless. Also a 12 hour rotating bezel can serve as a poor man’s gmt.

Also, who makes a dive bezel bidirectional? With that action this should absolutely be a 12-hr bezel.
@JinKeeАй бұрын
@@James2001 the 1992 yachtmaster does the bidirectional bezel with a minute scale, and no lume. It’s for timing your regatta start.

I have the very same watch. Regarding price it's a steal IMO, the Tag Heuer version is not as attractive and has the same dimensions and also on strap only for £2500 more in SS! I have two minor gripes about this watch and the clasp is one as I know Longines make a quick adjust clasp but didn't fit it to this watch..YET! Also, the blank indents on the bezel aren't my favourite but other than that I really rate it and the specs it has. I would also say I have a 8" + wrist so it sits fine but maybe try it on first if your wrist is under 7.5".
@James2001Ай бұрын
17.6mm thick? Seriously? Dude, that’s ridiculous for a modern chronograph that costs over 5 grand.
@walterhardinge-zt2olАй бұрын
On the wrist it sits low and with the doomed crystal it feels more like 15 mm
@James2001Ай бұрын
@@walterhardinge-zt2ol 15mm (perceived) still isn't exactly thin for a chronograph at this price point.
@auxillery8998Ай бұрын
@@James2001 It's fine take a chill pill. The price is £2500 lower than the SS tag offering on a strap!

@@auxillery8998I’m fully chill, I’m never going to be buying this watch. But you are sort of coming off like a salesperson.
@walterhardinge-zt2olАй бұрын
@ well that is true but for starters the spec they quoted in the review is not accurate it’s actually 17.1 secondly for what longines has packed in there it’s rather amazing that it s not thicker an I’m not by any means an advocate of thick watches and most certainly would not recommend the stainless steel version of this watch it’s just too heavy ,in spite the numbers however,the titanium version is great . Now keep in mind I’ve got a 7.75 inch wrist, not just any skinny limp wristed deck diver can pull it off . As for the price if you’ve ever designed and build something yourself from scratch you would know that longines offers an amazing quality at extraordinary modest prices
