Unboxing the brand new Longines Spirit Zulu Time GMT. I share my initial thoughts as well as discuss the functions and features of this watch. Thanks for watching!

Yeah it’s a great looking watch. I’m definitely interested in the blue dial. The large hole at the bottom where the warranty cards are should have the large instruction manual that covers every single Longines movement. Really don’t understand why that’s missing.

They have a QR code on the warranty card and you get it electronically now. Just bought one.

I'm getting one within next few weeks. I love this watch. It's the #2 watch of 2022 imo. The #1 is the grand seiko $350k watch (I forget it's name, but only 20 of them in the world). Of the attainable... this is watch of the year.

I agree. I think this watch will be a hit for them. It easily competes with/is better than other GMT offerings in its price range. If you’re a pilot watch fan, it’s a no brainer. Hopefully they become more available, these are already disappearing quick it seems!

Just got this watch and it’s amazing. Only thing is the lower half of the bezel wobbles when I push on it. Back to the dealer I think??

I recently got the 42mm Zulu with the blue dial. There’s a video on KZbin showing that the date isn’t quite centered in the window (date shown slightly shifted to the left). Do you notice that on yours? I do notice it on mine, but consider it negligible. I do notice that my watch wears a little top-heavy and in hindsight I wish I would have gotten the 39mm version. But still love this watch for the money!!

Yes is a personal taste and you prefer this one over the Tudor BB GMT. I prefer the Tudor over the Longines and to be honest, is a better watch. I trie both and finally bought the Tudor. Thank you for the video and congratulations for your new Longines.

Been lusting after this too. My only real question is which one??? I'm thinking either the blue dial or the black. The green bezel one with grey dial and gold accents doesn't really do it for me and I have an Alpinist as my green and gold go to. The blue dial seems sportier but the black dial version here with the blue GMT hand looks so damn sophisticated in a kind of under the radar way. Decisions...Decisions!!!

That big slot under the wooden box used to hold a thick paper instruction booklet for most Longines models. I guess they have do away with it as part of going green.

OR...it was a display watch and someone swiped the book...my Spirit came with all the goodies last year. We'll see what happens this year...Green Bezel leather strap on order.

@@gbtriumph3216 I was at my local Longines boutique last week and ask about this and they confirmed no more thick booklet. Switched to online instruction by QR code.

Booklet is gone. The QR code is on the warranty card and you get it electronically now. Ironically, mine came with a small hardcover book about the history of Longines(not in the slot, but separately). Great watch.

At what time does your watch change date? Exactly 12mn or some minutes before or after? Is it a slow date-change or a jump? Thanks!

It’s definitely a slow change. As far as when exactly it ticks over, I haven’t noticed yet. Maybe if I have to reset it I’ll run it up and check.

This watch would benefit from a quality bracelet, like Tudor's, so that the fit is comfortable and does not wring. There would be no price for them. Do you agree that Tudor has a better bracelet and a better fit on the hand?

Hey thanks for the comment! Yea, it’s probably as big as I’d go. It’s a big 42mm if that makes sense. Camera probably exaggerates it a little. Lugs don’t overhang for me which is my sniff test.
