Many horror movies rely on shocking jumpscares to get the audience when it wants them to be scared, and while longlegs did contain some of those, it also seemed to go the route of having back-to-back scenes that were filled with (almost) absolutely nothing in order to try and have the viewer scare themselves by over-thinking. when it ended my theatre erupted with so many people whispering different variations of “what the FUCK did I just watch” to themselves, but regardless of that i can still understand why some might not have enjoyed it lol, it was a very experimental film. i’d still recommend it to anyone who’s at least a little curious about it tho

This probably the first trailer I’ve ever seen that put fear in me. I think it was because the first time I watched was unintentional and I wasn’t prepared; it came up as an ad while I was watching another video and after about ten seconds I had to finish it. Fingers crossed it lives up to the trailer

I do want to say this again, but this is the best way of making trailers for a horror movie. This trailer is terrifying with the sound design like kudos to the sound designer. This trailer is not giving anything away and is very intriguing and creepy. Also they’re not showing Nicolas Cage’s full face again in this trailer and from other trailers so he has to be looking insane and unsettling when we see him in theatres.
