My neighbor's grandmother in her 70s planted a piece of local sweet potato, which is the best raw material for making sweet potato starch. It can make fern cake and hot and sour noodles.

You must be from my home province, Guizhou. Though I was born in the capital city Guiyang, I have many cousins living in the country side. All the dishes you made, I have tried them before. I am stuck here in US. I can still make some of them with materials I find in local Asian grocery stores. One day when my kid graduates from college, I shall return to the place where I belong.
