I’ve never seen the movie, “An American Tail: Fivel Goes West”, so I don’t know how well this game follows the plot of the movie. Watching this game play video, it looks like a decent licensed platformer game. It captures the elements of the movie well within the gameplay and the cutscenes. The graphics are gorgeous for the system it’s on and the music is nice to listen to. The drawbacks to the game that I found are the controls seem really loose and slippery, making precise movements on platforms difficult for the player and the difficulty level of this game is easy, making the replay value of this game low once beaten. Overall, a decent licensed movie game that will please young kids and any fans of the movie it’s based on.

I've seen the movie and I might consider getting this game if I come across it because I have a 3 in 1 console that plays NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis games.

Typical license retro game. As nuch as i love 2d plattforners, this is not more then just ok. There is anorher Fievel game realesed om the GBA, and also based on this film. That game is a bit better.
