because if it was released on NES it wouldnt look awesome ;) On the Master System a single sprite can use 16 colors. On the NES only 3. Thats why most sprites on the NES look kinda flat.

possible yes, but in a time when games like DooM came around an 8bit style console platformer wouldn't have got much attention.

The game was only released on Master System and Game Gear. NES and Game Boy never get the game, because: 1. Capcom was licensee for publishing Disney games for 8-bit and 16bit Nintendo consoles, Kemco also was, but for 8-bit platforms. Not to mention, Sega and Nintendo were competitors at the time. 2. NES was 8-bit (Master System was 12-bit) and Game Boy was black and white (Game Gear was color). Because of that, if the game was released on these platforms, it will look like a poor designed game with ugly color palette (NES) or without colors (Game Boy).
