I love how his idle animation has him looking quite mad I find it very humorous all of porky's sprites in this game are very well animated it feels like the were srouced from various looney tunes cartoons that he stared in that noticeable detail makes me happy

How did I miss this game?🎮 It was exactly the kind of games I loved back then. Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, any of the Bugs Bunny games, Taz, Earthworm Jim, etc. Any of the animated characters I loved, or ones they created. This game looked fun! Not extremely difficult or excruciatingly annoying, just fun! Somehow this one slipped under my radar. Well I'm attempting or hoping to get a retro gaming center in a spare room. A NES, SNES, N64, Sega Master System, a Genesis, a Saturn, a Dreamcast, etc, and the Sony and X-Box systems as well. I thought about a Jaguar but so many of them don't function anymore even sealed ones are DOA! And they aren't cheap. Oh one other system I NEED is a TurboGraphx-16! It was a underdog during the Sega-Nintendon't wars. But it has/had some epic games. Bonk's Adventure was my top game as was a pinball game they released, I forgot the name, but there are so many classic games that started on the NES/Master System, or the Genesis/ SNES, etc. The Sega CD and 32X is a pairing I probably won't go for. IF I can find a decently running Sega CD💿 I'll grab it. Maybe, if it's not insanely priced as well. I really enjoy these retro gaming videos! It shows how we started and went from Pong to Batman Arkham Knight, or Spider-Man on the PS4 & PS5. Sports games which I realize is not most people's thing, but I've been a EA nut since NHL94, NBA Live 94, Madden 92, PGA Tour Golf. Basically pick a sports game and I had them from year to year. When MLB the Show hit the Playstation, oof! I was hooked! Now it's like watching an actual live ⚾️Baseball🧢 game on ESPN but it's a video game. The graphics have become near photo perfect! Football players in Madden are sculpted perfectly to their real life counterpart! It's like playing a doppelganger. Sorry I digress, these games have become so lifelike, so "real", the graphics so insanely vivid, but a BIG BUT, the game is NOTHING without good control, a great storyline or plot, good characters you need to "bond" with, and good replay ability! Otherwise it's a 15 minute one and done game. Which is one reason why some retro games have stayed the test of time. Games like Streets of Rage, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the other obvious one Super Mario 1-3, etc all have one thing in common. A great backstory, good controls, yes great graphics but without all of these factors being so well done, these games would have crapped out. Great graphics and amazing effects can't make a game great. Again it's one reason why so many NES, SNES, Genesis, etc games are all still relevant and in demand. They are fun to play! Look decent, have great controls, but the story is there and it's almost always a epic story with crazy villains, and cool Easter🥚Eggs🥚that give the game replay ability! While I do enjoy and love my PS1/2/3/4/&5 as well as the X-Boxes, I miss the older systems, the Sega vs. Nintendo battles, again with the TurboGraphx-16 sneaking up on them. Splatterhouse another great TGRPX-16 epic game!as far as retro systems go I have too many favorites to list. Too many to even attempt to go through! It was a epic time for gamers from the 1980's to now. From Pong to Atari, from the Atari 2600 to Mattel Intellivison, from Mattel's Intellivision to ColecoVision as well as the Odessy(?), then from Coleco to the Commodore Vic-20 followed by the Commodore 64. Next add the Atari 5200, and a bit later the 7800. Apple IIe, Apple II+, began gaming, as did "IBM". Then the BIG WAVES hit. Nintendo, Sega, TurboGraphx-16, and a couple decades later, Sony and Microsoft announced they were now contenders! Boy were they! Now there are tens of thousands of games on cartridges, hundreds of thousands more on CD💿 and later, DVD.📀 Gaming is phenomenon that won't ever stop! Ratings were meant to keep kids from playing the "adult" games? Did their plan work? LMFAO NOT EVEN CLOSE! If anything this "rating" system now gives the kids a heads up rating. For blood, guts, gore, and sex. If kids see the NC-17 rating, they can see the issues, but allowing these kids access defeats the 'idea", as idiotic as it is! Games don't turn kids into insane lunatics!

i like porky pig's animation, so adorable. though the same cannot be said for the rest of the game as the bosses have janky animations and some bosses and all the enemies doesn't look looney toons-ish at all as if they were sourced from a different low budget canceled 16 bit games, the music is all over the place but maybe some people out there have liked it for the nostalgia. it felt like they knew that this game would get mediocre review and so they had this original playable character but they have replace it with with a well established character ( porky pig ) to help giving it some good reception and probably sell decently.

Also while I LOVE THE PREMISE OR THIS GAME, HOW IN THE HELL DOES or IS Porky Pig able to be underwater for so long. To be able to function under water with no air. Again HOW in the HELL did Porky pull it off? Fun game, epic story, and great experiences, and epic replay value!

It's really strange that this Porky game was worked on by Sunsoft but wasn't worked on by Interplay Entertainment (the one who created Boogerman) because the graphics are exactly the same as Boogerman, that is, not in every aspect but the design makes it look the same!

When I saw the aklaim logo, I thought this game would suck. But when I saw the sunsoft logo I knew it would be good or at least decent. So aklaim published this and sunsoft developed it. Awesome!

Such an odd game. Almost feels like it was supposed to be another game but given looney tunes theme in the end for some u final decision and reason. The graphics in a way is ok because of it’s clear and clean look and depiction of characters but missing that 3D rendering that certain graph is and color shading gives games like virgin or capcom developers are known to do. This being sunsoft I expected more. It almost has a bit of booger man type art but not as good and original. The gameplay and feel and enemies of this game also are lackluster and the music and sound effects is awful. The overall nightmare theme sounded like a good concept but probably didn’t turn out well or was given enough thought and talent to pull off. One level of the theme would have sufficed. But the entire game and the music adding to it gives this game an unplayable and mundane repetitive experience you just have no desire to sit through and finish.
