Longplay of Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights

So I finally got to upload all of the Scooby-Doo games for the GameCube. This one is pretty unique as it's more of a metroidvania which means you have to collect powerups in a maze-like map and backtrace a lot to access previously inaccessible areas. I know there's a lot of people who like this game and I'm glad people enjoy it, but I personally find other scooby games to be better. The graphics look a little dull, the music and sound effects get extremely repetitive and I don't find the game helpful enough to those who want to 100% it. I basically got a little peeved off because I wanted this video to be a 100% playthrough, but when I was backtracing the final few scooby snacks, I discovered that I was no longer able to collect all cookies in "Wreck on the Deck! Part 2" because I had done some irreversible action. From that point on, I stopped caring about 100%. I'd literally miss one or two scooby snacks in areas that have up to 400 total. Where could they be? Honestly no idea... but what's important is the route I take. If you want to go for 100%, you'd be perfectly fine to use this guide. I might've just accidentally missed a cookie during a jump somewhere and that wouldn't happen to you. This guide does actually show all of the locations of where cookies could be and fortunately it shows 100% of the monster tokens which allow for some fun trivia (end of the video). Anyway, literally over an hour of this video is me backtracking in the game through some planned out route for the remaining cookies. If you don't care to see that, you can skip over to the next chapter immediately thanks to timecodes. Nonetheless, I'm not disappointed with this longplay. I do think it was important to include the backtracing part because it shows how to access different parts of a stage and has me enter locations you'd otherwise not see filmed. Lastly, I don't think it's a terrible game and if you wish to give it a try let me suggest you to not go for 100%. Stick to the main game and don't frustrate yourself over a few cookies you can't find. That's precisely what ruins the fun completely

This game is legit my number 1 childhood memory! Not only loved by me but so many in my family treasured this game for years that we use to compete each other to see who could finish the game when we were kids! Such a nostalgic game ❤️

One of my favorite pieces of Scooby Doo related media. It captures the feel of the og show so well and plays great. Also has one of my favorite Don Knott's roles as well. I also liked how on certain holidays the outside of the manor had fun little Easter eggs.

Or better yet a remake for the current generation consoles like the PS4, PS5, Xbox series, even the Nintendo switch. Imagine this game with Matthew Lillard as shaggy, motion capture for the cinematics, and better graphics, the glitches and lags fixed

This is the best Scooby-Doo game so far in my opinion. faithful to the classic cartoon in every detail.

It still amazes me how accurate and faithful this game is I also appreciate how they went out of their way to recreate the intro from The original series using the models from this game that alone proves that this truly felt like a love letter to classic Scooby-Doo and overall I think that's why so many people love this game and are quite found of it

Forget about 100% this game, just casually playing it is stupidly confusing. Backtrack here, backtrack there, and suddenly you don't know what to do because it's asking for a lot more than common sense.
