Longplay of Sonic Forces

So here we have Sonic Forces, a perfectly decent sonic game that's not particularly remarkable but also perfectly playable without anything that would make you want to quit it. I had allot of fun S ranking all story missions in this game, I overdid it a little bit but I wanted to present this game as nicely as I can. The controls are really tight and for the most part mistakes you make are on you. You have 4 gameplay modes: -Classic Sonic which has the least interesting moveset and has stages that are more about exploring rather than moving fast, -Modern Sonic which has boost ability that was introduced in Rush and homing attack and has stages based around moving as quickly as possible -Avatar (or how I like to call it Fursona) which is your own Original the character who you can customize both gameplay wise and appearance wise, stages are focused around many alternate paths involving weapon abilities that you can choose before the mission starts -Sonic+Avatar: cobination of their both abilities Sonic and Avatar (together or apart) are the most fun to play, classic sonic was slowed down quite a bit too much he can't even walk up a slope without spindashing... Plus there's some fun theming going on with music. Classic stages will have Genesis sounding music (pretty obvious), modern stages will have soundtrack in the similar style to most 3D sonic games while your avatar will have vocal songs. The whole soundtrack (with one unfortunate exception) is a banger especially the Fursona songs are worth checking out. The only gripe I really had with the game is that all of the stages were painfully short, they'd end right at the moment where you'd think you'd be reaching the good part. the Level design doesn't come close to that of Unleashed on the Wii but it's still leagues better than what colors had to offer, which just didn't feel organic in the slightest in my experience. The fanbase seems to be dead set on pumbeling sonic forces to the ground for just existing. It likely isn't as good as Generations(still haven't played), but it's perfectly alright, easy to approach and doesn't set your house on fire and you can't say that about every sonic game.

I just like the cat design, for me it was probably the worst one to pick as the special ability is only useful if you get hit and my goal was to never get hit in almost every stage. Wolf or Bird are definitely better choices gameplay wise but the cat just looks so good.

Wow, the game doesn’t sound so bad. Graphics and textures don’t look so bad either. I wonder if Sega had a low or high budget for this game. At least this game is in 60fps on all systems :)

The first level where you fight Dr. Eggman is paying tribute to the original game, that scene where he is trying to get you with the saw blade ball is just like the time he tried to get the players with a wrecking ball in the original game.

I'm so tired of this complaint that "Tails is a coward". Bruh, his nerves were shot because in his mind he wasn't good enough when he needed to be, and seeing Sonic being beaten so quickly right in front of him instilled a sense of powerlessness which is what Infinite loves to do. You'd feel the same if you were dedicated to helping your best friend but failed when the moment counted. That's why he spent the next month trying to fix Omega rather than trying to help his other friends. In short he suffered PTSD from his first encounter with Infinite. I'm sick of people saying the characterization was off. Ik he's done a lot of solo things before, but he was able to do those things because he was inspired by Sonic, and his inspiration was beaten to a pulp in seconds.

Despite what people say, I like forces. A new character, Great soundtrack, A serious story and more things. Same. The levels levels just requires you to boost in a straight line, the level design is simplified to a mind numing degree. They wasted the eggman taking over the world plot on a 2 hour game and classic sonic, exits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole game just reeks of lost potential. It has bad controls. I can see why you hate it. Sonic forces is a failure

Look, honestly I don't think the game is bad, but the game has its flaws, as for example the Game ends up being a fast game that anyone can reset the game, but in my opinion, Sonic Forces is a good game, but the small stages leave something to be desired
