Despite the old one having over a million views, this video really needed to be re-recorded due to ghosting issues. The gameplay and quality are now both greatly improved and the length of the video has been cut down a lot. I also discovered something completely new during this recording which changed things up a bit.. but if you collect gold medals on all the missions, you end up with bonus crystals which means you don’t have to collect *all* of the crystals in the open world to get the 100 crystals for the final ending. I wasn’t sure how to handle this but I decided to just cut the recording after the final ending was engaged. It's one of the later ones for the GameCube which is why it's also released on the Wii (which uses motion controls so I opted for the GC version instead). What I find so clever about the concept of this game is how it basically features one large map with one safe zone where you can start all missions from. The missions spawn you in different locations of the map and feature objectives... but you're also able to freely leave the safe zone and just explore the map on your own. The map has a couple of upgrades and crystal collectibles. The upgrades aren't at all necessary to beat the main game so you don't have to break your missions up to go search for them, but the crystals are required to progress to the final ending after all missions have been completed. So the gameplay for most is likely split up in two sections. First half is completing all of the missions and the second half is free-roaming the entire area and finding all of the crystals. The game allows for teleportation to different areas of the map and showcases how many crystals have been found in each location, so it's all very user-friendly and not at all frustrating to do. This is perhaps the only platformer I've ever played where collectibles weren't a chore. Probably mainly because they separated it from the mission mode.

Dialogue sounds fine during the cutscenes for me. Maybe something wrong with your audio output again?

@@longplayarchive Just checked some footage of this game on other systems and found out the Wii version also has this issue, but the PS2 version DOESN'T, so it's another difference between systems. I noticed something similar on Over the Hedge, which was released in the same year. I played the demo for that game on PC, but the full game on GameCube, which also had a WAY louder volume on the music. EDIT: Checked Over the Hedge on PS2 as well and that one also has the music on normal volume, same as with this game. Might be a good idea to re-re-upload both on PS2 instead.
