This game features well over a hundred "microgames" where you have to think and react very quickly. Some of these games are a little hard to understand on first try, so practice makes perfect. Whilst playing the single player mode, the microgames are put into categories. Completing a category ends with an exclusive "boss" microgame and unlocks the next category. Once all categories are finished, you unlock new modes like where the microgames are all on "hard" difficulty or on max speed. Playing to stage 30 on "All Mixed Up" unlocks Time Attack, which needs to be played once to unlock the credits. It's a fairly enjoyable game, but I remember it being much more hysterical to play with your friends because it's so adrenaline inducing.

Fun tip: During Single Player, If you press A after completing a boss microgame, a cool interaction happens. Wario flipping through tv channels for example, or Mona changing outfits. Each character has their own action.

Fun fact: This is one of the only two Mario-related GameCube games to lack progressive scan support, the other being NBA Street V3. Because the game can be forced to 480p through Swiss without any issues, this was probably intentional due to the upcoming release of the DOL-101 GameCube model.

I understand, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game. The problem is not the adoption of the Metroidvania genre in this game, but the excessive use of the touch screen. The presence of dialogue in this game gives more expression and personality to this game. As for the characters present in this game, maybe they can reappear in a future game of the Wario Land series, because only Nintendo has the copyright to the characters in this game since Suzak went bankrupt.
