In this Eagle Dynamics: Digital Combat Simulator video Growling Sidewinder and I in the FA18 Hornet striking target of opportunity of North Korean ballistic missiles , some MiG29 Fulcrums are scrambled and then we had a dogfight on our hands. Within 6-8 NM you can use the uncage button to turn off the loft effect from the sparrow. This can help the missile go more directly to the target when the target is a bigger threat.

Depends. Tracks in DCS are hard to work with. Cant really tell.. all the way between 6 to 10 hours

First of all, great video guys. But... I know it's not gonna happen for awhile, but DCS is a perfect example of a game that at least needs raytraced shadows (lighting can be done later). The shadow pop-in would be super distracting to me if I were playing this game. The contrast between the shadows and lit areas is how you can judge the contours of the terrain, and pip in shadows just screw that up.

maybe you and GS should try the "Night FIght" Mission on the SU-33 Heavy Sky campaign. you and GS on SU-33 night carrier ops against 4 f16s. Loved that mission but recently broke, your wingman wont't take off from the carrier and you against 4 F16's with FOX3's isnt just feasible for me anymore.

Perhaps their scenario takes place in the early 90s before AMRAAMs were in full use. Hell the sparrow was still pretty common throughout the 90s and into the early 00s.
