Dude, playing as a solo fighter in duos has instantly become my favorite thing to do in the game. It's so difficult, but the improvement my skill has seen as a result has been MASSIVE! big props for using a longsword to do it too 😤

Ruins is great for fast PvP, for me, it's the fastest way to improve with the longsword. The healing shrine in the middle makes it easy to try new things without having to worry so much about missing health.

As a general rule, no armour. I play solo and the game is not balanced at the moment so you will just lose it to some random BS. I find it's better to sell everything and turn it into longswords. Bows are OP and a crutch imo. Also, the game just feels more fun up close. I would rather torture myself in the path of longsword glory. As for perks, I am not at my pc atm and can't remembered the names. I'll cover that and more in the next video!

Because I wasn't expecting the turn around and had no time properly space. When you are in too tight sometimes it's better to go for the hilt of the weapon

every time i try and parry the skelly's basic vertical strike, it goes right through my sword and hits me.what's the secret? when you do it, it blocks flawlessly

Could be a few things, assuming you are not trying it on the shield skeles (those things are bugged and wild) then it's probably because you are too far away, get in a bit tighter, you can also go even closer, crouch and look more upwards. Let me know if that helps!

Crossbow is way too strong, and I would use the longsword less if I ran it. I don't play to win, rather to improve with the longsword.

I found a purple longsword randomly and have been loving the playstyle, especially since most weapons use overhead swings which are fairly easily blocked. Any tips for dealing with weapons like the falchion, rapier, etc. that have stabs or horizontal swings?

Falchion and rapier are very meta right now and tough to deal with. For the falchion you can max space it and crouch parry up and left of the enemy, very tight spacing is needed... I'm working on new techniques because that weapon is a problem. Rapier is also very tough to deal with, ideally you want to trade damage on the first hit or dodge it and then parry the second swing, you aim up and to the right of their head, just be warned that the riposte doesn't want to come out 70% of the time. @@erzengeldc646 Ah, this makes sense. Thank you for the detailed explanation. I intuitively thought it was the attack speed effecting the "riposte window". I guess faster weapons generally have lower impact stats, so that is why I thought that way. The window is really tight on rapier, it's rough that the weapon is very meta right now.

I do not understand people who hate Ranger tbh, one of the hardest class in the game. Ofc, parry is hard, but most fighters just run at you or hitting with a stupid crossy getting no dmg at all.

My personal opinion is that range in this game isn't fun and is overtuned. Completely agree that full pdr crossbow fighters are a problem too. Keep in mind I play naked longsword so have my own bias.

ah once you hear the Ding you know you are fcked xD btw you can block the Zap and the Ice bolt with shield without taking any damage. also the curse of pain and i belive also the power of sacrifice im not sure of the last one but you can defently block the others with your shield.

Haha, yeah you can also block the hitscan spells like heals, zap and curses with the longsword, but you can't parry them. You can however parry ice bolts, magic missiles and pretty much any projectile in the game! Good casters will just blast your legs though, so you still gotta move it.

I kind of like doing something similar to this on warlock... get a ton of Magic healing bring 2-4 slow mobs with you behind you and when you go to fight someone just power of sacrifice them all and you're basically invincible for 10-15 seconds unless you get completely one shot
