Headers should free up power if you had a lot more exhaust. But it makes it sound better and look better. It’s all part of it! Awesome truck. It needs LS ported heads and upgraded injectors and pump. Time for the big money mods!!!

🔥 as usual bro, but those gaskets that come with the headers are trash. Over a few months the headers will burn through them and cause a leak. You have to use OEM manifold gaskets because they’re MLS

No it does not have any provisions for the downstream o2s. I just zipped tied them out the way. And you might have a checked engine because of this but I had mine tuned out or you can possibly use some spark plug defoulers to trick it.

I just got done with short tubes on my tahoe, I've been plannin on upgrading to e fans as well as the same aluminum radiator, but would you recommend a stage 2 cam? I would've liked a stage 3 but I already average like 12mpg city, 8mpg with e85, and don't wanna have to deal with changing the stall converter as well

I bet the drone at 1800 rpm’s is deafening. My 5.3 has 1 7/8 headers long tube with 3 in all the way back. It was stupid loud and had to add 24 inch resonators and dynomax mufflers to keep my hearing at 1800 rpm’s doing 70-75. My wife won’t ride with me still.

So if you have an na combo that makes 400rwhp and makes most of its power from 4000-6500, with a turbo it will make power in the same RPM - just more depending on how many lbs of boost. 14.7 psi doubles the power output typically.

Yeah long tube headers have been known to be better overall than shorty headers. Long tube headers definitely make more power than shortys!

Nah the misfire was for something else, these headers will be fine but you will get a check engine for your cats because these obviously dont have any cats but not a big deal if you dont care👌
