Great lesson. I love Lonnie Johnson. There's two aspects to his playing---- first his exceptional guitar playing. But equally important is his exceptional vocal talents. The two are part of a whole. He's been an inspiration to me for many years, as someone who thinks the ultimate challenge of guitar playing isn't just learning to play licks and chords, but simultaneously expressing yourself by singing at the same time. Lonnie Johnson, Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker, Freddie King, BB King, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix---- they're the masters.

Lonnie Johnson had what I call "Subtle Sophistication". I loved his Blues playing. He was always in the wrong genre at the wrong time. Sad. But one of the Greats to me. Thanks for the lesson.

please do another lesson going into the solo ideas.. I also think this was Lonnie's best era in terms of the raw emotion in his play.. I am confused at how similar some of the songs from the album sound while simultaneously appearing (to my very untrained ear) to be comprised of different chords/keys. I'm not able to figure out how he plays certain songs from that album like "I'm So Afraid" or "I Found a Dream" although this lesson does get me off to a great start so thank you very much for this

great lesson, can you explain Tomorrow Night specifically. I know it fits into the "broken record" category but I just love it but an frustrated trying to learn it as my music knowledge is tiny. Thank you.
