I read some of your comments. But wait. There is one thing that could collaborate. During the first season when Rick cronenberged the world, Beth stated out of anger, "Oh please, dad abandoned us just like he did my mother". That was bugging me since the death of Prime when we now know that Prime erased Diane from existence. This is my first time laying eyes on this comic and seeing that Rick left Diane and Beth falls in line with what was said in season 1.

Season 1 Beth was Rick prime's daughter not C - 137's daughter, Rick prime did indeed abandon Beth and Diane, also important to note is that this is neither C - 137 nor Prime its C - 1031. *ANY* Rick and Morty we see outside of the show ( comics / games etc ) are other versions of Rick and Morty.

Just my two cents but from what little I know of this series so far Rick C-137 (Animated Version) is the version of Rick who cares far too much despite all his efforts not too... I couldn't help but wonder why Evil Morty would ever bother to return to the finite curve (his worst possible prison) in the upcoming season... But then it hit me... It never was ego or selfishness or even about hunting down Rick Prime... The finite curve is probably an infinite looping memory system looking squarely at every single life Rick C-137 blames for being ruined by any Rick ever...

At some point Rick Prime created a superweapon that eliminated all the Diane's in the multiverse. I'd speculate the Ricks moved back in with either their Beths or someone else's Beth at that point. It's not clear when this happened - but most Beth's end up with a Jerry and start a family with ultimately a Morty.
