Hi can I ask you one question. I have chanche to buy a 695 aero from 2015, full carbon dura ace mechanical I suppose rom brakes, carbon wheel. I don’t have any experience on bike and my goal is training for thriatlon, my budget is very low for bike so alternative would be a 1800 euro new bike don’t know if I find or a more modern used bike. The 695 will cost me 1000 Euro. What you think it could be a good deal compared to a new bike from canyon base model for example?

I partly agree with you. I own a Look 695 and I feel it's the bike that started the complicated integration trend. Look at the stem, the complex bottom bracket and crank. The seat post with damping options etc. It was proper engineering but the quality control wasn't always what you might expect. If it wasn't for the lack of tire clearance I would ride it more. I remember that people were discussing about the "ugly" stem although I like that part especially because of its design.

I have the exact same bike Look 2012 Mondrian, running eps groupset set. I'm going to convert it to mechanical groupset. I wish I had lightweight rims tho. I've zipp 404's. A lot cheaper.

Lovely bike mate, beeautifal attention to detail, but that's not the aerolight of the 695 series. The aerolight has internal v-brakes in the forks and under the chain stays. Mine is Dura Ace Di2, but I'm not sure if it's specific to electric gears.

FDの台座がカーボンで剛性不足だから変速がしにくいって日本では言われてて後期型の金属製に打ちかえされてるけど、日本国外ではそういう認識はないのかな？と疑問に思う。
