The shotgun is really useful. You can use the recoil to your advantage to explore new places. One thing I hate about it is that it cancels all your forward momentum. Accidentally turn on bullet time if you're holding a pistol isn't a problem but if you're not careful you can accidentally recoil yourself to death. I wise we had a button to cancel bullet time. The boat is cool but the harpoon I will not say it's bad, the thing is that there is that it barely makes any sound when you shoot it. I think I'm being a little too judgemental with the harpoon.

Ya the shotgun took a lot of practice for sure and I also noticed the sound seemed broken with the harpoon. But overall it's a neat concept Its little mechanics that keep changing to make it feel fresh after 6-8 hours of playtime.
