I might try this modpack now that I'm done with ATM9. They changed Gregtech in the latest version to introduce the Research System and I'd rather eat dog poo than go through that. I have the GregStar Bee and, to me, that's the real end goal. 😂

I get the appeal of Greg tech for other people… but not for me.

You can use Ender Tendrils (found in lootchests, I forgot if it's tied to specific structures though) to grow pseudo Ender Pearls, which are used just like normal ones. I've just made stairs upward fairly high and hanged them under dirt block rows so they have lots of room to grow downward over time (and btw they are growing slow so make sure to set that in your base as soon as you find them)

They grow pearls every four blocks but they are soooooo sloooooow and you have to wait for them to look like pearls. When you break it they whole thing comes down. I recommend just using a cleric in this pack. It’s easy peasy. If you need emeralds use a forester and reroll his trades to whatever trees are local and just deforest every time you need them. Even better if you can find a zombie villager and cure him.

I have a cleric already, think I hit the jackpot with getting the Trader block so i can basically trade for enderpearls when ever i like 😁 I also got the villager hat so they are cheap as chips!

@@PilpohMC True, I found 3 Traders so far, it's super useful to have! But I also found a "Hyperbox" in one of the Temples and just setup a bunch of villagers in it (It's like Compact Machines but the full sized one I think?) Also the Artifact Farmer Hat making the Pearls be 1 Emerald per is such an amazing win-win gain! Tendrils are an ok passive slow thing to just let grow in the background and eventually get some pearls. Would be way less poop if they grew faster tho 😅

I'm prepared to bet that you are going to need that ivy you threw away (for some convoluted recipe) 😆

It still makes sense to use the hose pulley to get lava. I use the lava directly in create contraptions in the nether (water wheels, at least the small ones, also work with lava).

Hey plipoh, I recommend putting an assembled create train through a nether portal to pump lava into the train from a big enough lava lake.

So… consider doing what the quests say and making windmills. They are not hard to make and you can use wool instead of frames to add to the windmill base for power. Just remember to hold the glue in your off hand. You will need more than one for the full two stacks of wool for full power. I just do a 3x3 stack after pillaring up with the first two wool so it makes a nice pillar of power. It is the equivalent of an absurd number of water wheels.

Make a forester and swap his trades till you get one that is the local wood logs of choice and you will be able to get emeralds at will.
