The sun slanted through the dusty windows of Red, White and Blue Thrift, illuminating a world of forgotten wonders. Although I sifted through racks of wallets, it was the jewelry section that held the true magic!
There, nestled among tarnished brooches and mismatched earrings, I discovered it: a genuine amethyst and jade necklace, along with pearl, red coral and turquoise necklaces. Their stones glimmered like secrets from another era, their colors dancing in the light. I placed these gems in my cart, imagining the stories they could tell.
But the surprises didn’t end there. Along the great wall of purses, I discovered a vintage Coach Waverly worth hundreds! Also, in the home goods aisle, a valuable mid-century modern Sergio Bustamante brass goose planter stood proudly! Its sleek lines and whimsical design hinted at midday martinis and jazz-filled evenings. I couldn’t resist-it was a piece of art waiting to be reborn so I bought it!
